Abstract

A method of tracking is described. The method may include determining that an identification signal transmitted by a transponder is an unregistered identification signal and extracting, by a processing device, properties of an item associated with the unregistered identification signal. The method may also include transmitting, to a database, the extracted properties of the item associated with the unregistered identification signal transmitted by the transponder.

         1 . A method comprising:
 determining that an identification signal transmitted by a transponder is an unregistered identification signal;   extracting, by a processing device, properties of an item associated with the unregistered identification signal transmitted by the transponder to generate extracted properties of the item; and   transmitting, to a database, the extracted properties of the item associated with the unregistered identification signal transmitted by the transponder.
