Abstract
A vehicle sunshade comprises an enclosure housing one or more shades for covering or shading a vehicle. The enclosure is typically mounted to a portion of a vehicle to allow the vehicle sunshade to travel with the vehicle and be used anywhere. The enclosure may also be tapered and comprise one or more doors that cover the shades therein. A shade may be mounted on a roller with a biasing mechanism for automatically retracting or extending the shade. One or more flaps can be attached to the shade to extend coverage of a vehicle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A vehicle sunshade comprising:
a support comprising one or more compartments and one or more doors that open and enclose the one or more compartments; one or more rollers rotatably mounted to the support within the one or more compartments; one or more shades on the one or more rollers; a base comprising a bottom; a guide extending between the base and the support; and a biasing device extending between the base and the support.
2 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 1 , wherein the biasing device is biased toward raising the support relative to the base.
3 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 1 , wherein the base comprises one or more tapered sides.
4 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 1 , wherein the one or more shades comprise a flap foldable at a crease.
5 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 1 further comprising one or more openings in the bottom of the base.
6 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 1 further comprising a stop at a distal end of the one or more shades.
7 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 1 , wherein the one or more doors rotate upward to open.
8 . A vehicle sunshade comprising:
a support comprising one or more compartments and one or more doors that rotate to open and enclose the one or more compartments; one or more rollers rotatably mounted to the support within the one or more compartments; one or more shades on the one or more rollers; a base comprising a bottom; and a guide extending between the base and the support.
9 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 8 further comprising a biasing device between the base and the support.
10 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 8 , wherein the base comprises one or more tapered sides.
11 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 8 , wherein the one or more shades comprise a flap foldable at a crease.
12 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 8 further comprising one or more openings in the bottom of the base.
13 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 8 further comprising a stop at a distal end of the one or more shades.
14 . The vehicle sunshade of claim 8 , wherein the one or more doors rotate upward to open.
15 . A method of covering a vehicle with a vehicle sunshade comprising:
providing a support and a base, wherein the support comprises one or more compartments and one or more doors that rotate to open and enclose the one or more compartments; rotatably mounting one or more rollers within the one or more compartments, wherein the one or more rollers have one or more shades thereon; and connecting the support and a base with a guide.
16 . The method of claim 15 further comprising providing a biasing device between the support and the base, wherein the biasing device biases the support to a raised position.
17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the base comprises one or more tapered sides.
18 . The method of claim 15 further comprising forming one or more creases in the one or more shades.
19 . The method of claim 15 further comprising forming one or more openings in the base.
20 . The method of claim 15 further comprising attaching a stop at a distal end of the one or more shades.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
