Mobile terminal and method for configuring idle screen thereof
Abstract
A method for configuring a screen of a mobile terminal comprising collecting usage information of the mobile terminal, based on at least one of location information and time information of the mobile terminal; forming a usage pattern based on the usage information of the mobile terminal; receiving a request for displaying an idle screen; displaying on the idle screen at least one icon or widget based on the usage pattern; receiving a command for deleting an icon or widget among the at least one icon or widget included in the idle screen; and changing a configuration of the idle screen to exclude the icon or widget from the idle screen in response to the command for deleting the icon or widget. Further, the icon or widget is replaced with a new icon or widget that has a highest frequency of use in a current context, the new icon or widget having the highest frequency is determined using current status information and the usage pattern, and the new icon or widget has not been displayed before the icon or widget is deleted.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method for configuring a screen of a mobile terminal, comprising:
collecting usage information of the mobile terminal, based on at least one of location information and time information of the mobile terminal; forming a usage pattern based on the usage information of the mobile terminal; displaying screen information on a display unit of the mobile terminal; and changing the displayed screen information into another screen information, using the usage pattern in response to at least one of a location and a time of the mobile terminal.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein status information of the mobile terminal is collected by the mobile terminal, the status information including said at least one of location information and time information of the mobile terminal, and
wherein the usage pattern is formed based on the status information of the mobile terminal and the usage information of the mobile terminal.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the status information of the mobile terminal is collected with the usage information of the mobile terminal during a predetermined time period.
4 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
detecting current status information of the mobile terminal, wherein said another screen information is determined using the current status information and the usage pattern.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the screen information is displayed on the display unit based on the location of the mobile terminal, and
wherein the displayed screen information is changed into said another screen information when the location of the mobile terminal is changed.
6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein a previous location and a current location of the mobile terminal are compared, and
wherein a determination between displaying the screen information and said another screen information is based on the comparison result.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the displayed screen information is selectively changed based on a display mode of an idle screen.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein a configuration of menus included in the displayed screen information is changed when a display mode of an idle screen is a first mode, and
wherein a default configuration of the menus displayed on the idle screen is maintained without changing the displayed screen information when the display mode is a second mode.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the location information of the mobile terminal is recognized through at least one of a global positioning system(GPS), 3G network, or Wi-Fi network.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the usage pattern refers to information regarding menus repeatedly used in a particular context.
11 . A mobile terminal comprising:
a display unit; and a controller configured to: collect usage information of the mobile terminal, based on at least one of location information and time information of the mobile terminal; form a usage pattern based on the usage information of the mobile terminal; display screen information on a display unit of the mobile terminal; and change the displayed screen information into another screen information, using the usage pattern in response to at least one of a location and a time of the mobile terminal.
12 . The mobile terminal of claim 11 , wherein status information of the mobile terminal is collected by the mobile terminal, the status information including said at least one of location information and time information of the mobile terminal, and
wherein the usage pattern is formed based on the status information of the mobile terminal and the usage information of the mobile terminal.
13 . The mobile terminal of claim 12 , wherein the status information of the mobile terminal is collected with the usage information of the mobile terminal during a predetermined time period.
14 . The mobile terminal of claim 11 , wherein the screen information is displayed on the display unit based on the location of the mobile terminal, and
wherein the displayed screen information is changed into said another screen information when the location of the mobile terminal is changed.
15 . The mobile terminal of claim 14 , wherein a previous location and a current location of the mobile terminal are compared, and
wherein a determination between displaying the screen information and said another screen information is based on the comparison result.
16 . The mobile terminal of claim 11 , wherein the displayed screen information is selectively changed based on a display mode of an idle screen.
17 . The mobile terminal of claim 16 , wherein a configuration of menus included in the displayed screen information is changed when a display mode of an idle screen is a first mode, and
wherein a default configuration of the menus displayed on the idle screen is maintained without changing the displayed screen information when the display mode is a second mode.
18 . The mobile terminal of claim 11 , wherein the location information of the mobile terminal is recognized through at least one of a global positioning system(GPS), 3G network, or Wi-Fi network.
19 . The mobile terminal of claim 18 , wherein the usage pattern refers to information regarding menus repeatedly used in a particular context.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
