Wrap-Around Neck Pillow Assembly

Abstract

A wrap-around neck pillow assembly for neck support in an inclined or upright position includes a casing defining an internal space. The casing has a front, a back, a first end and a second end. A support, which is pliable, is complementary to and positioned in the internal space. A first fastener is coupled to the casing proximate to the first end and a second fastener, which is complementary to the first fastener, is coupled to the casing proximate to the second end. The second fastener is positioned to reversibly couple with the first fastener. A seam is positioned in the casing substantially equally distant from the first end and the second end defining a first section and a second section of the casing. The casing is foldable along the seam for storage and the casing is curvable along the seam for positioning around a user's neck.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A wrap-around neck pillow assembly comprising:
 a casing, said casing having a front, a back, a first end and a second end, said casing defining an internal space;   a support, said support being pliable, said support being complementary to and positioned in said internal space;   a first fastener, said first fastener being coupled to said casing proximate to said first end;   a second fastener, said second fastener being complementary to said first fastener, said second fastener being coupled to said casing proximate to said second end, wherein said second fastener is positioned to reversibly couple with said first fastener;   a seam, said seam being positioned in said casing substantially equally distant from said first end and said second end defining a first section and a second section of said casing; and   wherein said casing is foldable along said seam for storage and said casing is curvable along said seam for positioning around a user's neck.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said casing comprising fabric. 
     
     
         3 . The assembly of  claim 2 , further including said fabric being decorative. 
     
     
         4 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said first end and said second end being rounded. 
     
     
         5 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said front and said back being substantially rectangularly shaped. 
     
     
         6 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said support comprising a foam. 
     
     
         7 . The assembly of  claim 6 , further including said foam being beaded. 
     
     
         8 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 said first fastener being coupled to said back of said casing; and   said second fastener being coupled to said front of said casing.   
     
     
         9 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said first fastener and said second fastener being selected from the group of fasteners consisting of hook-type and loop-type fasteners. 
     
     
         10 . The assembly of  claim 9 , further including said first fastener and said second fastener being substantially rectangularly shaped. 
     
     
         11 . The assembly of  claim 10 , further including said first fastener being dimensionally larger than said second fastener, wherein said second fastener is variably couplable to said first fastener such that said casing is configured to be adjustably positionable around a user's neck. 
     
     
         12 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said seam being substantially parallel to said first end and said second end. 
     
     
         13 . The assembly of  claim 12 , further including said seam extending from proximate to a top of said casing to proximate to a bottom of said casing. 
     
     
         14 . The assembly of  claim 13 , further including said seam extending from said front to said back of said casing. 
     
     
         15 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including said seam comprising elastic. 
     
     
         16 . The assembly of  claim 13 , further including said top and said bottom being rounded. 
     
     
         17 . The assembly of  claim 1 , further including an indentation, said indentation being positioned in said back of said casing substantially equally distant from said first end and said second end, wherein said indentation is positioned in said casing such that said first section and said second section of said casing are positionable in parallel and wherein said first section and said second section of said casing are curvable for positioning around the user's neck. 
     
     
         18 . The assembly of  claim 17 , further including said indentation comprising a pair of sections extending from said seam. 
     
     
         19 . The assembly of  claim 18 , further including said sections being arcuate. 
     
     
         20 . A wrap-around neck pillow assembly comprising:
 a casing, said casing having a front, a back, a first end and a second end, said casing defining an internal space, said casing comprising fabric, said fabric being decorative, said first end and said second end being rounded, said front and said back being substantially rectangularly shaped;   a support, said support being pliable, said support being complementary to and positioned in said internal space, said support comprising a foam, said foam being beaded;   a first fastener, said first fastener being coupled to said casing proximate to said first end, said first fastener being coupled to said back of said casing;   a second fastener, said second fastener being complementary to said first fastener, said second fastener being coupled to said casing proximate to said second end, wherein said second fastener is positioned to reversibly couple with said first fastener, said second fastener being coupled to said front of said casing;   said first fastener and said second fastener being selected from the group of fasteners consisting of hook-type and loop-type fasteners;   said first fastener and said second fastener being substantially rectangularly shaped, said first fastener being dimensionally larger than said second fastener, wherein said second fastener is variably couplable to said first fastener such that said casing is configured to be adjustably positionable around a user's neck;   a seam, said seam being positioned in said casing substantially equally distant from said first end and said second end defining a first section and a second section of said casing, wherein said casing is foldable along said seam for storage and said casing is curvable along said seam for positioning around the user's neck, said seam being substantially parallel to said first end and said second end, said seam extending from proximate to a top of said casing to proximate to a bottom of said casing, said seam extending from said front to said back of said casing, said seam comprising elastic;   said top and said bottom being rounded;   an indentation, said indentation being positioned in said back of said casing substantially equally distant from said first end and said second end, wherein said indentation is positioned in said casing such that said first section and said second section of said casing are positionable in parallel and wherein said first section and said second section of said casing are curvable for positioning around the user's neck, said indentation comprising a pair of sections extending from said seam, said sections being arcuate.
