Abstract

A display device is disclosed, which includes: a display panel; and a backlight module corresponding to the display panel. The backlight module includes: a light source; and a light guide plate adjacent to the light source and having a surface and a light guide dot. The light guide dot comprises a first valley and a second valley, the first valley has a first valley point, and the second valley has a second valley point. On the basis of the surface of the light guide plate as a reference surface, the first valley is recessed into the reference surface, the second valley is recessed into the reference surface, a distance from the first valley point to the reference surface is defined as a first depth, a distance from the second valley point to the reference surface is defined as a second depth, and the first depth is different from the second depth.

Claims

What is claimed is:

         1 . A display device, comprising:
a display panel; and a backlight module corresponding to the display panel and comprising:
 a light source; and
a light guide plate adjacent to the light source and having a surface, wherein the light guide plate has a light guide dot,
wherein, in a cross-section view of the light guide dot, the light guide dot comprises a first peak, a second peak, a first valley, a second valley and a third valley, the first peak and the second peak are located between the first valley and the second valley, the third valley is located between the first peak and the second peak, the first peak has a first peak point, the second peak has a second peak point, the first valley has a first valley point, the second valley has a second valley point, and the third valley has a third valley point, wherein on the basis of the surface of the light guide plate as a reference surface, the first valley is recessed into the reference surface, the second valley is recessed into the reference surface, a distance from the first valley point to the reference surface is defined as a first depth, a distance from the second valley point to the reference surface is defined as a second depth, and the first depth is different from the second depth.

2 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a distance from the first peak point to the reference surface is defined as a first distance, a distance from the second peak point to the reference surface is defined as a second distance, and the first distance is different from the second distance.

3 . The display device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the first depth is different from one of the first distance and the second distance.

4 . The display device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the first depth is different from the first distance and the second distance.

5 . The display device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the second depth is different from one of the first distance and the second distance.

6 . The display device as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the second depth is different from the first distance and the second distance.

7 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the light guide dot further comprises a third peak, and the second valley is located between the third peak and the second peak.

8 . The display device as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the third peak has a third peak point, a distance from the first peak point to the reference surface is defined as a first distance, a distance from the second peak point to the reference surface is defined as a second distance, a distance from the third peak point to the reference surface is defined as a third distance, and the third distance is different from one of the first distance and the second distance.

9 . The display device as claimed in claim 8 , wherein the third distance is different from the first distance and the second distance.

10 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first valley and the second valley have different widths based on the reference surface.

11 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first peak and the second peak have different widths based on the reference surface.

12 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a portion of at least one of the first peak and the second peak comprises a rough surface.

13 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a portion of at least one of the first peak and the second peak comprises a curved surface.

14 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a portion of at least one of the first valley, the second valley and the third valley comprises a rough surface.

15 . The display device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a portion of at least one of the first valley, the second valley and the third valley comprises a curved surface.
