Abstract
In certain aspects, the present invention provides compositions and methods for promoting bone growth and increasing bone density, as well as for the treatment of multiple myeloma.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 65 . (canceled)
. A method for treating or preventing multiple myeloma in a human patient, the method comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of an anti-activin antibody or fragment thereof.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is a chimeric antibody.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is a humanized antibody.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is a human antibody.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is a monoclonal antibody.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is an F(ab) 2 fragment.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is an Fab fragment.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is a single chain antibody.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is a bi-specific antibody.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof further comprises one or more agents selected from: a radioisotope, a fluorescent compound, and an enzyme or enzyme co-factor.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof binds to activin A.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof binds to activin B.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof binds to activin A and B.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof inhibits activin from binding to ActRIIa.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof reduces tumor burden in the patient.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof treats or prevents bone loss in the patient.
. The method of claim 66 , wherein the antibody or fragment thereof is administered to the patient in combination with one or more bone-active agents selected from: a calcium supplement, vitamin D, a bisphosphonate, calcitonin, estrogen, parathyroid hormone, and raloxifene.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
