Abstract

A pocket sized diabetic kit carrying supplies that a diabetic patient will need for 24 hours includes but not limited to Lancet pen, lancets, small test strip bottle filled with test strips, blood test meter, one or more insulin types stored in a plurality of pre-filled syringes, one syringe splint or just one hard plunger, a plurality of alcohol pads, one blood plotter pad, Velcro straps and a syringe clipper. The pocket diabetic kit is compact, small and thin and can fit into a pocket so that a diabetic patient can be easily carried in the pants' pocket or other pockets without causing inconvenience or uncomfortable. The present invention also discloses ways to modify supplies including tools, medication syringes, etc.

What is claimed is: 
     
         31 . A pocket diabetic kit comprising:
 one blood glucose meter;   one Lancet pen and a plurality of Lancets;   one Lancet pen attached/molded together with test strip bottle holding a plurality or up to eight test strips;   one portable test strip bottle having the dimension 2.2×0.45×0.45 inches, said bottle including a plurality of test strips;   at least one medication prefilled syringe having a syringe barrel including a plunger comprising a piston type rod, that has a detachable rubber bulb, and at least one prefilled insulin syringe without a piston type rod;   wherein both syringes being enclosed in a sterile bag;   one syringe clipper for cutting the at least one pre-filled insulin syringe;   at least one syringe with removable tape maybe used to unseal fresh prefilled insulin syringe as two injection insulin syringe parts can be disassembled and a reassembled;   at least one syringe plunger enclosed in a sterile bag for pushing insulin from the insulin prefilled syringe;   at least one sterilized dry blood blotter pad and storage file sealed in paper;   at least one or more alcohol pads sealed in foil packages as found in stores;   one primary purse for housing the blood glucose meter, Lancet pen and Lancets, Lancet pen attached/molded together with test strip bottle holding a plurality of test strips, test strip bottle and the test strips, the at least one pre-filled insulin syringe, the syringe clipper, alcohol pad sealed in foil, and sterilized dry blood blotter pad and storage file sealed in paper;   the primary purse has a soft hook and loop fastener cloth interior surface, a swivel hook and net and is approximately 4.75 inches long×3.375 inches wide with a zipper for closure;   wherein the pre-filled insulin syringe can be modified by cutting the pre-filled insulin syringe shorter using the syringe clipper; and   wherein the piston type rod detaches at a cut that is formed in the said rubber bulb end of the at least one pre-filled insulin syringe having a syringe barrel including the plunger;   wherein the prefilled syringe barrel has a side opening cut;   a medium size purse kit comprising;   sterilized dry blood blotter pad and alcohol pads;   wherein the medium kit is approximately 4.625 inches long and 3.5 inches wide for storing extra items as to not over stuff the primary kit;   a small size purse kit comprising;   at least one or more insulin syringe plungers;   at least one or more prefilled insulin syringe with part of cut plunger remaining;   at least one or more prefilled insulin syringe with no plunger remaining;   at least one or more alcohol pads sealed in foil package;   at least one or more sterilized dry blood blotter pad and storage file all sealed in paper;   one blood glucose meter, if small purse is expanded;   the small pocket diabetic kit wherein purse is approximately 3.5 inches long and 2.1875 inches wide and may carry about eight prefilled insulin syringes of one or more insulin medication types;   the pocket diabetic kit wherein the insulin plunger including one or more barbed tip insulin syringe plunger, o-ring and breather tip insulin syringe plunger, spear tip plunger, flat cut tip insulin syringe plunger, and a flat cut tip insulin syringe plunger with splint;   wherein o-ring and breather tip syringe plunger rubber compressible bulb a real snug bulb as long as it breaths and it doesn't compress or vacuum upon the air below the enter into syringe barrel and it should be manufactured with a clean bevel end for smooth entry of the o-ring and breather tip plunger;   the pocket diabetic kit wherein the modified insulin medication prefilled syringe has only compressible rubber bulb remaining and has no plunger remaining; wherein the plunger has a spear tip so that the plunger can insert into the rubber bulb to push insulin medication out of the syringe barrel when in use;   wherein the modified insulin prefilled syringe has part of the plunger remaining on it and the plunger has a flat cut surface;   wherein syringe splint and screw to secure the plunger to push insulin within the modified prefilled syringe having a part of the plunger remaining out of the barrel;   the pocket diabetic kit wherein the blood glucose meter has a hook that can attach to a keyring or the swivel hook in the primary purse;   the pocket diabetic kit wherein the blood glucose meter is approximately 0.32 inches thick;   a place in the pocket comprising;   keys, meter on a keyring card, Lancet pen molded together with test strip bottle and a plurality of test strips, wherein best place in the pocket instead of taking up space in the kit, is in the pocket, to reduce bulkiness for best storage; wherein 2.875 inches long×1.25 inches wide×0.030 to 0.50 inches thick meter; wherein one keyring card shaped meter with hole or hook to attach to a keyring or place into primary diabetic kit; wherein keyring card blood glucose meter with jacket bottom and top as it blends in with keys almost unnoticeable; wherein this allows kits to get smaller, because it is no longer always necessarily placed in a purse kit;   wherein the meter doesn't have to be a standalone device and it may be incorporated into cellphones, tablets, laptops, or other devises that people carry with them.   
     
     
         32 . A method of preparing a modified medication pre-filled insulin syringe and administering medication from the modified syringe using an empty syringe with needle to withdraw a dose of insulin medication out of a medication vial or getting a commercially available insulin pre-filled insulin syringe;
 using a syringe clipper to cut the medication pre-filled insulin syringe at a location depending on the size of the insulin syringe and the dose quantity, the resultant pre-filled insulin syringe has the compressible rubber bulb remained but may or may not have a part of the plunger remained; wherein the plunger detaches from rubber bulb with a relief cut at the back end of the bulb of the prefilled insulin syringe; enclosing the resultant medication pre-filled insulin syringe needle with a needle cap and placing the insulin pre-filled syringe inside the pocket diabetic kit; and   injecting insulin by using a syringe plunger to push insulin out of the barrel of the pre-filled insulin syringe.   
     
     
         33 . The method of preparing a modified medication pre-filled insulin syringe and administering medication from the modified insulin syringe of  claim 32 , wherein the insulin syringe plunger including one or more of the barbed tip syringe plunger, cut tip plunger, o-ring and breather tip plunger, spear tip plunger, flat cut tip syringe plunger and flat cut plunger with splint. 
     
     
         34 . The method of preparing a modified insulin pre-filled insulin syringe and administering medication from the modified insulin syringe of  claim 32 , wherein injecting insulin by using the insulin syringe plunger to push insulin out of the barrel of the pre-filled insulin syringe with a spear-shaped tip to push insulin out of the barrel of the pre-filled syringe if the syringe has only compressible rubber bulb or by using a syringe plunger with a syringe splint or screw to push insulin out of the barrel of the pre-filled syringe if the insulin syringe has part of the insulin syringe plunger remained. 
     
     
         35 . The method of preparing a modified pre-filled insulin syringe and administering medication from the modified insulin syringe of  claim 32 , wherein injecting insulin by using the insulin syringe plunger to push insulin out of the barrel of the pre-filled insulin syringe with an o-ring breather tip plunger to push insulin out of the barrel of the pre-filled syringe if the syringe has only compressible rubber bulb or if the insulin syringe has part of the insulin syringe plunger remained in the bulb and out the syringe barrel end.
