Abstract

A computing device or system is operable to display a service option feature that includes graphic features which individually correspond to a respective service option of a plurality of service options. Service-specific information is provided on the display for a first service option that is based, at least in part, on a current location of the user. The service-specific information for the first service option is displayed concurrently with the graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features which corresponds to the first service option.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing device, cause the one computing device to:
 determine, via one or more location-aware resources of the computing device, data corresponding to a current location of the computing device;   receive, from a remote system, a set of data associated with a plurality of service options that are each available for request by a user at the current location of the computing device;   provide, on a display of the computing device, a service option feature that includes a plurality of graphic features, wherein each graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features corresponds to a respective service option of the plurality of service options, wherein each graphic feature is selectable by the user via user input, and wherein each service option of the plurality of service options is a different service option from others of the plurality of service options; and   provide, on the display, service-specific information for a first service option using a subset of the received set of data associated with the plurality of service options, the service-specific information for the first service option including location-based information for the first service option that is based, at least in part, on the current location of the computing device and a location of one or more service providers of the first service option;   wherein the service-specific information for the first service option is displayed concurrently with the graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features which corresponds to the first service option.   
     
     
         2 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the service-specific information for the first service option further includes capacity information corresponding to an amount of space available for the first service option. 
     
     
         3 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the service-specific information for the first service option further includes cost information corresponding to an estimated cost of a service provided by the first service option. 
     
     
         4 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the location-based information for the first service option corresponds to an estimated time of arrival of a service provider of the first service option to travel to the current location of the computing device. 
     
     
         5 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the first service option corresponds to a service option previously selected by the user. 
     
     
         6 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the first service option corresponds to a service option most frequently used by the user when requesting service. 
     
     
         7 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the computing device to:
 transmit, to the remote system, the data corresponding to the current location of the computing device; and   wherein the computing device receives the set of data associated with the plurality of service options subsequent to transmitting the data.   
     
     
         8 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the computing device to:
 provide, on the display concurrently with the service option feature, map content of a region based on the data corresponding to the current location, wherein the map content includes a graphic feature that is moveable in response to user input, the graphic feature corresponding to a start location of a service.   
     
     
         9 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 8 , wherein the graphic feature includes location-based information for a selected service option. 
     
     
         10 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of  claim 1 , further comprising instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
 in response to a first user input corresponding to a selection of the graphic feature corresponding to the first service option, provide feedback to the user indicating the selection of the first service option;   detect a second user input corresponding to a selection of the graphic feature corresponding to a second service option of the service option feature; and   in response to detecting the second user input, provide feedback to the user indicating the selection of the graphic feature corresponding to the second service option.   
     
     
         11 . A method of providing information about a service on a computing device, the method being performed by one or more processors of the computing device and comprising:
 determining, via one or more location-aware resources of the computing device, data corresponding to a current location of the computing device;   receiving, from a remote system, a set of data associated with a plurality of service options that are each available for request by a user at the current location of the computing device;   providing, on a display of the computing device, a service option feature that includes a plurality of graphic features, wherein each graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features corresponds to a respective service option of the plurality of service options, wherein each graphic feature is selectable by the user via user input, and wherein each service option of the plurality of service options is a different service option from others of the plurality of service options; and   providing, on the display, service-specific information for a first service option using a subset of the received set of data associated with the plurality of service options, the service-specific information for the first service option including location-based information for the first service option that is based, at least in part, on the current location of the computing device and a location of one or more service providers of the first service option;   wherein the service-specific information for the first service option is displayed concurrently with the graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features which corresponds to the first service option.   
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the service-specific information for the first service option further includes capacity information corresponding to an amount of space available for the first service option. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the service-specific information for the first service option further includes cost information corresponding to an estimated cost of a service provided by the first service option. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the location-based information for the first service option corresponds to an estimated time of arrival of a service provider of the first service option to travel to the current location of the computing device. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first service option corresponds to a service option previously selected by the user. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first service option corresponds to a service option most frequently used by the user when requesting service. 
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 providing, on the display concurrently with the service option feature, map content of a region based on the data corresponding to the current location, wherein the map content includes a graphic feature that is moveable in response to user input, the graphic feature corresponding to a start location of a service.   
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 17 , wherein the graphic feature includes location-based information for a selected service option. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 11 , wherein the first service option corresponds to a service option currently specified, and further comprising:
 in response to a first user input corresponding to a selection of the graphic feature corresponding to the first service option, providing feedback to the user indicating the selection of the first service option;   detecting a second user input corresponding to a selection of the graphic feature corresponding to a second service option of the service option feature; and   in response to detecting the second user input, providing feedback to the user indicating the selection of the graphic feature corresponding to the second service option.   
     
     
         20 . A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a computing device, cause the one computing device to:
 determine, via one or more location-aware resources of the computing device, data corresponding to a current location of the computing device;   
       receive, from a remote system, a set of data associated with a plurality of service options that are each available for request by a user at the current location of the computing device;
 provide, on a display of the computing device, a service option feature that includes a plurality of graphic features, wherein each graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features corresponds to a respective service option of the plurality of service options, wherein each graphic feature is selectable by the user via user input, and wherein each service option of the plurality of service options is a different service option from others of the plurality of service options; 
 provide, on the display concurrently with the service option feature, service-specific information for a first service option using a subset of the received set of data associated with the plurality of service options, the service-specific information for the first service option including location-based information for the first service option that is based, at least in part, on a start location for a service and a location of one or more service providers of the first service option; and 
 provide, on the display concurrently with the service option feature, a location identifier that corresponds to the start location for the service; 
 wherein the service-specific information for the first service option is displayed concurrently with the graphic feature of the plurality of graphic features which corresponds to the first service option.
