Abstract

The present application relates to a steamer head comprising a treating face ( 13 A, 33 A) from which steam is expelled, and a steam generating surface ( 14 A, 34 A) onto which a liquid is provided to be converted into steam. The treating face ( 13 A, 33 A) is in thermal conductive communication with the steam generating surface ( 14 A, 34 A). The steam generating surface ( 14 A, 34 A) is at an angle to the treating face ( 13 A, 33 A) such that when the treating face ( 13 A, 33 A) is orientated vertically, the liquid is able to descend onto and flow along the steam generating surface ( 14 A, 34 A) to be converted into steam.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A steamer head comprising:
a soleplate comprising a treating face and an aperture from which steam is expelled, and a steam generating unit comprising a steam generating surface onto which a liquid is provided to be converted into steam and a heater to heat said steam generating unit, the steam generating unit being in contact with the soleplate to transfer heat from said heater to the soleplate, the treating face being in thermal conductive communication with the steam generating surface,
wherein the steam generating surface extends away from said treating face at an angle (α 1 ) to the treating face such that when the treating face is orientated vertically, the liquid is able to descend onto and flow along the steam generating surface to be converted into steam which flows along the steam generating surface to the treating face, and through said aperture.

2 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , wherein said angle (α 1 ) is between 75 degrees and 150 degrees.

3 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , wherein at least part of the steam generating surface is planar.

4 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , wherein the steam generating surface is orientated in an upwardly facing direction when the treating face is orientated vertically.

5 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , further comprising a protrusion extending from the steam generating surface.

6 . The steamer head according to claim 5 , wherein the heater is in thermally conductive communication with the steam generating surface.

7 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , wherein the treating face is configured to have a predetermined temperature difference with respect to the steam generating surface and, preferably, the steamer head comprises a layer of material with a predetermined thermal conductivity and thickness.

8 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , wherein the soleplate and the steam generating unit are integrally formed or fastened together.

         9 . (canceled)

10 . The steamer head according claim 1 , wherein the steam generating unit is removably mountable to the soleplate.

11 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , wherein the treating face is planar.

12 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , further comprising a liquid outlet for supplying the liquid to the steam generating surface, wherein the liquid outlet is configured to be disposed above the steam generating surface when the treating face is orientated vertically such that the liquid is able to descend onto the steam generating surface through gravity.

13 . The steamer head according to claim 1 , further comprising a handle configured to orientate the steamer head such that the treating face is disposed substantially vertically when the handle is held in an operating position.

         14 . A steaming device comprising a steamer head according to claim 1 .

15 . The steamer head according to claim 2 , wherein said angle (α 1 ) is equal to or less than 135 degrees.

16 . The steamer head according to claim 2 , wherein said angle (α 1 ) is equal to or greater than 90 degrees.
