Abstract
Provided are methods of treating skin with at least two alternating treatment modalities to improve the health and/or diminish signs of aging. Some methods according to the present invention may comprise topically applying at least two separate compositions, in a sequential, rotating, or alternating fashion to overcome adaptation, tolerance, or sensitization phenomena.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for diminishing dermatological signs of aging in human skin comprising, in any order, the steps of (1) topically applying to an area of the skin in need thereof, at least once daily, a first skin treatment composition comprising Vaccinium myrtillus extract, for a first period of time comprising from 7 to 31 days; and (2) topically applying to said skin, at least once daily, a second skin treatment composition comprising salicylic acid and glycolic acid, for a second period of time comprising from 7 to 31 days; wherein said first treatment composition is different from said second treatment composition;
wherein, prior to said application steps, said first and second skin treatment compositions are contained in separate reservoirs within the same container, said container comprising a first pump in fluid communication with a first reservoir containing said first skin treatment composition, a second pump in fluid communication with a second reservoir containing said second skin treatment composition, and identifiers which are capable of identifying each of said skin treatment compositions in said reservoirs; said first and second pumps being disposed on opposite ends of said container and each of said first and second pumps may optionally be covered by removable caps attached at each respective end of the container.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first composition further comprises a botanical selected from Acer sarccharinum extract, Saccharum officinarum extract, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, and combinations thereof.
3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first composition further comprises hydroxyethylpiperazine ethane sulfonic acid.
4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first composition further comprises limonene and linalool.
5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first composition further comprises adenosine.
6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said second composition further comprises limonene and linalool.
7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said identifiers are alphanumeric.
8 . The method according to claim 4 , wherein said identifiers are numeric.
9 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first and second periods of time are each from about 10-31 days.
10 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first and second periods of time are each 14 days.
11 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first and second periods of time are the same.
12 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said second period of time is consecutive with said first period of time.
13 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein steps (1) and (2) are repeated one or more times.
14 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said dermatological signs of aging comprise fine lines and/or wrinkles.
15 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said container is cylindrical.
16 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said Vaccinium myrtillus extract is an extract of the fruit of Vaccinium myrtillus.
17 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said first and second skin treatment compositions have a distinct attribute selected from scent and/or color.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
