Chest Support Pillow

Abstract

A chest support pillow is described. The pillow includes an interior component, an exterior component, a medial portion, and two distal portions. The distal portions form two circular apertures with the medial portion. The pillow may further include a lower portion that forms a lower aperture. The pillow may be used to provide support to a user's chest and front side when lying face down during activities including massage, sleep, chiropractic therapy, and medical procedures.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A chest support pillow comprising:
 a medial portion; and   two distal portions coupled to the medial portion, each distal portion forming a circular aperture with the medial portion.   
     
     
         2 . The chest support pillow of  claim 1 , wherein the circular apertures and outer perimeter of the chest support pillow have rounded edges. 
     
     
         3 . The chest support pillow of  claim 1 , wherein the chest support pillow is approximately twenty inches wide, fifteen inches tall, and the width of the medial portion between the circular apertures is approximately two and a half inches wide. 
     
     
         4 . The chest support pillow of  claim 3 , wherein the distal portions are approximately two inches thick. 
     
     
         5 . The chest support pillow of  claim 3 , wherein the medial portion is approximately three inches thick above the circular apertures, and is approximately two inches thick between and below the circular apertures. 
     
     
         6 . The chest support pillow of  claim 1 , wherein the chest support pillow is approximately eighteen inches wide, fifteen inches tall, has a medial portion width of approximately two and a half inches between the circular apertures, and wherein the medial portion and two distal portions are approximately two inches thick. 
     
     
         7 . The chest support pillow of  claim 1 , further comprising a fastening element at the edges of the pillow, wherein the fastening element may be used to adjust the thickness of the pillow. 
     
     
         8 . The chest support pillow of  claim 7 , wherein the fastening element includes at least one of: a zipper, buttons, buckles, clips, and a hook and loop fastener. 
     
     
         9 . The chest support pillow of  claim 1 , wherein the circular apertures are differently sized. 
     
     
         10 . A chest support pillow comprising:
 a medial portion; and   two distal portions coupled to the medial portion, each distal portion forming a circular aperture with the medial portion, wherein a lower corner of each distal portion extends out to form a shape contoured to fit an outer abdominal area, and wherein an upper corner of each distal portion extends out to form a shape contoured to an outer chest area.   
     
     
         11 . The chest support pillow of  claim 10 , wherein the circular apertures and an outer perimeter of the chest support pillow have rounded edges. 
     
     
         12 . The chest support pillow of  claim 10 , wherein the circular apertures are differently sized. 
     
     
         13 . The chest support pillow of  claim 10 , wherein the pillow is approximately twenty inches wide, sixteen inches tall, and the width of the medial portion between the circular apertures is approximately two inches. 
     
     
         14 . The chest support pillow of  claim 13 , wherein the distal portions are approximately two inches thick beside the circular apertures, and approximately three inches thick above and below the apertures, and wherein the medial portion is approximately two inches thick between the apertures, and approximately three inches thick above and below the apertures. 
     
     
         15 . The chest support pillow of  claim 10 , further comprising a fastening element at the edges of the pillow. 
     
     
         16 . A front-side support pillow comprising:
 an upper medial portion;   two upper distal portions coupled to the upper medial portion, each upper distal portion including an upper circular aperture with the upper medial portion; and   a lower portion coupled to the upper medial portion and the two upper distal portions, wherein the lower portion includes a lower circular aperture.   
     
     
         17 . The front-side support pillow of  claim 16 , wherein the circular apertures and an outer perimeter of the pillow have rounded edges. 
     
     
         18 . The front-side support pillow of  claim 16 , further comprising a fastening element at the edges of the pillow, wherein the fastening element may be used to adjust a thickness of the pillow. 
     
     
         19 . The front-side support pillow of  claim 16 , wherein the pillow is approximately eighteen inches wide, twenty-two inches tall, and the width of the upper medial portion between the upper circular apertures is approximately two and a half inches. 
     
     
         20 . The front-side support pillow of  claim 19 , wherein the upper circular apertures have a diameter of approximately six and half inches, and the lower circular aperture has a diameter of approximately nine inches.
