Abstract
Individually unique key performance indicator management may be utilized to enhance performance in a network. A warning alarm threshold for a key performance indicator associated with a mobile device may be determined. And upon receiving an alert message indicating that the warning alarm threshold has been exceeded, a network device may be modified.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . A method comprising:
determining a key performance indicator (KPI) of an operation of an end device connected to a network; based at least on an identifier of the end device, determining a KPI threshold; determining that the KPI exceeds the KPI threshold; and modifying a network device connected to the network.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the network device comprises an access point.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein modifying the network device comprises causing the access point to allocate a wireless channel for the end device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the network device comprises a second end device.
5 . The method of claim 3 , wherein modifying the network device comprises lowering a data rate of the second end device.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the KPI is associated with the end device based on a subscriber identification associated with the end device.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the KPI is associated with the end device based on a device identification of the end device.
8 . A device comprising:
an input/output for connecting to a network comprising a network device and an end device; a processor communicatively coupled to the input/output; and memory storing instructions that cause the processor to effectuate operations comprising:
identifying a key performance indicator (KPI) for an operation of the end device based on at least an identifier identifying the end device;
determining that a threshold for the KPI has been exceeded; and
responsive to the threshold being exceeded, modifying an operation of the network device.
9 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the identifier comprises a device identifier or a subscriber identifier.
10 . The device of claim 8 , wherein the network device comprises a second end device.
11 . The device of claim 10 , wherein modifying the network device comprises lowering a data rate of the second end device.
12 . The device of claim 8 , the operations further comprising individually assigning the KPI to the end device.
13 . The device of claim 8 , the operations further comprising:
sending an indication of the threshold being exceeded to the end device.
14 . A method comprising:
based at least on an identifier of an end device connected to a network, determining a key performance indicator (KPI) for the end device; comparing a KPI threshold with the KPI to determine that the KPI threshold has been reached; and responsive to the KPI threshold being reached, modifying an operating aspect of the network.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein determining the KPI is further based on a time.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein determining the KPI is further based on location of the end device.
17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the KPI is further based on a source through which the end device is connected to the network.
18 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the KPI includes a network availability for the end device.
19 . The method of claim 14 , wherein modifying the operating aspect comprises modifying an operating characteristic of a network device connected to the network.
20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein modifying the operating aspect comprises modifying an operating characteristic of the end device.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
