Citrus seed extract-containing composition, food, drug, and method for producing citrus seed extract-containing composition

Abstract

Provided are: a citrus seed extract-containing composition, a food and a drug all of which sufficiently exert a novel function of a citrus (specifically, a citrus seed extract), and a method for producing the citrus seed extract-containing composition. The citrus seed extract-containing composition includes obacunone and nomilin both derived from a citrus seed extract. Herein, the ratio of the obacunone content to the nomilin content (i.e., obacunone content/nomilin content) is at least 0.020.

1 . A citrus seed extract-containing composition comprising obacunone and nomilin both derived from a citrus seed extract, wherein a ratio of an obacunone content to a nomilin content is at least 0.020. 
     
     
         2 . The citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 , wherein the ratio of the obacunone content to the nomilin content is at least 0.100. 
     
     
         3 . The citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 , wherein the ratio of the obacunone content to the nomilin content is at least 0.300. 
     
     
         4 . The citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 , wherein the citrus seed extract is a Yuzu seed extract. 
     
     
         5 . The citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition is used for lowering a blood-glucose level. 
     
     
         6 . The citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition is used for increasing a skeleton muscle quantity. 
     
     
         7 . The citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 , wherein the composition is used for reducing a body fat. 
     
     
         8 . A food comprising a citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         9 . A drug comprising a citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 1  as an active ingredient. 
     
     
         10 . A method for producing a citrus seed extract-containing composition comprising the steps of:
 heating citrus seeds at 60° C. or more, and   extracting a citrus seed extract from the citrus seeds thus heated.   
     
     
         11 . The method for producing a citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 10 , wherein the heating step is the step of heating the citrus seeds at 100° C. or more. 
     
     
         12 . The method for producing a citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 10 , wherein the heating step is the step of heating the citrus seeds for at least 5 min. 
     
     
         13 . The method for producing a citrus seed extract-containing composition of  claim 10 , wherein the citrus seeds are Yuzu seeds.
