Abstract

A liquid crystal display device comprises a TFT substrate, forming a wiring made of a material shutting off UV rays on a peripheral region thereof, and a sealing layer, including a UV ray curable resin therein, and being formed on peripheral regions of the substrate, to enclose the liquid crystal layer. The wiring and the sealing layer formed on the peripheral region are so provided that they are put on each other, at least in part thereof, on the wiring are provided plural numbers of opening portions formed in region where the wiring and the sealing layer are put on each other, and the opening portions are divided into a first area beside a display region and a second area outside the first area, and an opening ratio of the opening portions of the first area is larger than the opening ratio of the opening portions of the second area.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A display device, comprising:
a TFT substrate, having pixel electrodes and TFTs thereon in a display region and having a wiring in a peripheral region thereof; a sealing material on peripheral regions of the TFT substrate, wherein the wiring and the sealing material overlap in an overlapping region, the wiring has a straight portion extending along a first direction and a corner portion, the straight portion and the corner portion have plural opening portions formed in the overlapping region, the plural opening portions have first opening portions, and the first opening portions extend along the first direction in the straight portion and in the corner portion of the overlapping region.

2 . The display device, as described in claim 1 ,
wherein the plural opening portions have a second opening portion in the corner portion of the overlapping region, wherein one of the first opening portions and the second opening portion are arranged in the first direction, and wherein an opening ratio of the second opening is smaller than an opening ratio of the first opening ratio.

3 . The display device as described in claim 1 .
wherein the wiring has a first non-overlapping region which doesn't overlap the sealing material outside the overlapping region, wherein the plural opening portions have a third opening portion, and wherein the wiring has the third opening in a first non-overlapping region.

4 . The display device as described in claim 3 .
wherein the wiring has the third opening portion in the corner portion of the first non-overlapping region.

5 . The display device as described in claim 1 .
wherein the wiring has a second non-overlapping region which doesn't overlap the sealing material inside the overlapping region, wherein the plural opening portions have a fourth opening portion, and wherein the wiring has the fourth opening portion in the second non-overlapping region.

6 . The display device, as described in claim 1 ,
wherein the wiring has a first region and a second region outside the first region in the overlapping region, the plural opening portions have fifth opening portions, the wiring has the first opening portions in the first region and the fifth opening portions in the second region an opening ratio of one of the first opening portions is different from an opening ratio of one of the fifth opening portions.

7 . The display device, as described in claim 6 ,
wherein the opening ratio of the fifth opening portions is bigger than the opening ratio of the first opening portion.

8 . The display device, as described in claim 7 ,
wherein the plural opening portions are formed at intervals in the first direction in the wiring, a width of one of the first opening portions in the first direction and a width of the second opening portion in the extending direction of the wiring are wider than a width of one of the intervals in the extending direction of the wiring.

9 . The display device, as described in claim 1 comprising:
a light shielding member overlapping with the wiring and the sealing material.

10 . The display device, as described in claim 8 ,
wherein a width of the interval of the first region in the first direction is thinner than a width of the interval of the second region in the first direction.

11 . The display device, as described in claim 1 ,
wherein the opening portions of the wiring are formed at intervals in the extending direction of the wiring.

12 . The display device, as described in claim 5 ,
wherein the wiring having a third non-overlapping region inside the second non-overlapping region, and wherein an opening portion is not formed in the third non-overlapping region.

13 . The display device, as described in claim 1 ,
wherein the wiring is a common wiring which supplies common electric potential to the pixel.

14 . The display device, as described in claim 1 ,
wherein an opening ratio of the first opening portions is 30% or more.

15 . The display device, as described in claim 14 ,
wherein an opening ratio of the first opening portions is 80% or less.
