Composition of Olivetol and Method of Use to Reduce or Inhibit the Effects of Tetrahydrocannabinol in the Human Body

Abstract

Embodiments of the present invention relate to the use of a therapeutically-effective amount of Olivetol to reduce, eliminate, inhibit or alleviate the psychoactive effects of THC in users of Cannabis. Further embodiments of the present invention relate to a softgel, tablet or capsule of Olivetol in combination with an edible oil.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A softgel, tablet or capsule comprising a solution of an edible oil and Olivetol. 
     
     
         2 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  comprising between about 4 mg and 200 mg of Olivetol. 
     
     
         3 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  wherein the edible oil is selected from the group consisting of acai oil, almond oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, macadamia oil, sesame oil, pistachio oil, walnut oil, poppy seed oil, pumpkin seed oil, olive oil, and artichoke oil, or combinations thereof. 
     
     
         4 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  comprising between about 8 milligrams and 100 milligrams of Olivetol. 
     
     
         5 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  comprising between about 30 milligrams and 60 milligrams of Olivetol. 
     
     
         6 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  wherein the edible oil is olive oil. 
     
     
         7 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  further comprising an anti-oxidant. 
     
     
         8 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 7  wherein the anti-oxidant is Vitamin E. 
     
     
         9 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  comprising a gelatin softgel. 
     
     
         10 . The softgel, tablet or capsule of  claim 1  comprising a vegetable-based softgel. 
     
     
         11 . A softgel, tablet or capsule comprising:
 30 mg Olivetol;   50 mg Lecithin;   700 mg Olive oil; and   10 mg Vitamin E.   
     
     
         12 . A softgel, tablet or capsule comprising:
 40 mg Olivetol;   200 mg Avocado oil;   550 mg Olive oil; and   10 mg Vitamin E.   
     
     
         13 . A softgel, tablet or capsule comprising:
 30 mg Olivetol;   200 mg Avocado oil;   200 mg Hemp Seed oil;   350 mg Olive oil; and   10 mg Vitamin E.
