Abstract

A prefabricated building element is configured to be connected to a lateral side of a prefabricated building structure for forming a part of a building such that the building element forms a wall or a roof slab or a floor slab of a building. The building element includes a wooden core arranged adjacent to at least one insulating layer, and at least one engagement means for later engagement with the prefabricated building structure by means of a connecting device, wherein the building structure is a prefabricated module or another prefabricated building element.

 (a) a window and/or a door opening.

         22 . A building comprising the prefabricated wall panel according to claim 15 .

         23 . The building according to claim 22 , wherein:
 (a) the building comprises two slabs forming a joint between the two slabs, and one of the upper batten or the lower batten is configured to be received in a recess at a joint between the two slabs.

         24 . The building according to claim 23 , wherein:
 (a) the wall panel is configured to be fixed to the two slabs at said joint by means of fasteners through the battens and into said slabs.

         25 . The building according to claim 24 , wherein:
 (a) the fasteners comprise screws.

         26 . The building according to  claim 24 , wherein;
 (a) the fasteners extend through the battens at a portion of the battens projecting beyond the wall panel first side and the wall panel second side.

         27 . A prefabricated wall panel for forming a part of a building, the prefabricated wall panel comprising:
 (a) a wooden core comprising cross-laminated timber and forming a cross-laminated timber first side and a cross-laminated timber second side, wherein the cross-laminated timber is a load bearing element constructed to carry a load of a multi-story building; (b) a board covering one of the cross-laminated timber first side or the cross-laminated timber second side; (c) the wall panel has an upper edge, a lower edge, a first wall panel side, a second wall panel side, an upper batten located along the upper edge of the wall panel, and a lower batten located along the lower edge of the wall panel; and (d) the upper batten and the lower batten project beyond the wall panel first side and the wall panel second side, and the wall panel is constructed to extend between a floor and a ceiling.
