Abstract
Methods and systems to build containers of uncategorized items are described. In some example embodiments, the methods and systems access a search query received by a network-based publication system, identify a container of uncategorized items having a title that satisfies the search query, and return a result for the search query that is associated with the identified container.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A method, comprising:
generating, by one or more processors of a machine, a plurality of containers, each container including a cluster of one or more items of a subset of a dynamically changing inventory of items; determining that a container has a title that matches a received search query and includes one or more uncategorized items associated with the inventory; calculating a match score for each uncategorized item based on a comparison to the search query; and generating a container page displaying information associated with an uncategorized item having a best match score.
3 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
identifying the titles of containers visited in a user session of a publication system; identifying co-occurrences of container titles within the user session; and associating two or more container titles based on the identified co-occurrences.
4 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:
generating an additional container page displaying information associated with one or more of the uncategorized items, wherein the container page includes a linking of the two or more container titles.
5 . The method of claim 3 , further comprising:
generating a web page that includes an association of the two or more container titles.
6 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising:
mining website session data with respect to a user session of a publication system; identifying a plurality of containers viewed during the user session, each container including a cluster of one or more uncategorized items; determining that a title of a first container of the plurality matches a title of a second container of the plurality; and determining that both the first container and the second container have titles that match a received search query.
7 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising:
generating a container page, based on the determining both the first container and the second container have titles that match a received search query, the container page displaying information associated with one or more of the uncategorized items.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the container page includes a linking of the title of the first container to the title of the second container.
9 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the displayed information is determined based on a comparison of the one or more uncategorized items to the search query.
10 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising:
generating a web page that includes an association of the title of the first container to the title of the second container.
11 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising:
generating a display of search results that includes an association of the title of the first container to the title of the second container.
12 . A system, comprising:
a processor and executable instructions accessible on a computer-readable medium that, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
generating a plurality of containers, each container including a cluster of one or more items of a subset of a dynamically changing inventory of items;
determining that a container has a title that matches a received search query and includes one or more uncategorized items associated with the inventory;
calculating a match score for each uncategorized item based on a comparison to the search query; and
generating a container page displaying information associated with an uncategorized item having a best match score.
13 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise:
identifying the titles of containers visited in a user session of a publication system; identifying co-occurrences of container titles within the user session; and associating two or more container titles based on the identified co-occurrences.
14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:
generating an additional container page displaying information associated with one or more of the uncategorized items, wherein the container page includes a linking of the two or more container titles.
15 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise:
generating a web page that includes an association of the two or more container titles.
16 . The system of claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise:
mining website session data with respect to a user session of a publication system; identifying a plurality of containers viewed during the user session, each container including a cluster of one or more uncategorized items; determining that a title of a first container of the plurality matches a title of a second container of the plurality; and determining that both the first container and the second container have titles that match a received search query.
17 . The system of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise:
generating a container page, based on the determining both the first container and the second container have titles that match a received search query, the container page displaying information associated with one or more of the uncategorized items.
18 . A computer-readable hardware storage device having stored therein a set of program instructions which, when executed by the computer causes the computer to perform operations comprising:
generating, by one or more processors of a machine, a plurality of containers, each container including a cluster of one or more items of a subset of a dynamically changing inventory of items; determining that a container has a title that matches a received search query and includes one or more uncategorized items associated with the inventory; calculating a match score for each uncategorized item based on a comparison to the search query; and generating a container page displaying information associated with an uncategorized item having a best match score.
19 . The computer-readable hardware storage device of claim 18 , wherein the operations further comprise:
generating an additional container page displaying information associated with one or more of the uncategorized items, wherein the container page includes a linking of the two or more container titles.
20 . The computer-readable hardware storage device of claim 18 , wherein the operations further comprise:
generating a web page that includes an association of the two or more container titles.
21 . The computer-readable hardware storage device of claim 18 , further comprising:
mining website session data with respect to a user session of a publication system; identifying a plurality of containers viewed during the user session, each container including a cluster of one or more uncategorized items; determining that a title of a first container of the plurality matches a title of a second container of the plurality; determining that both the first container and the second container have titles that match a received search query; and generating a container page, based on the determining both the first container and the second container have titles that match a received search query, the container page displaying information associated with one or more of the uncategorized items.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
