Do it yourself (DIY) Tape-in decorative hair accessory kit for attaching colored streaks of synthetic and human hair to the hair and scalp of dolls and toy styling heads

Abstract

Invention is a do it yourself tape-in hair extensions weft kit for attaching colored hair fiber streaks to the scalp and hair of dolls and toy styling heads for the purpose of adding decorative color to the hair. The colored streaks consists of strands of artificial fibers or real human hair arranged in a weft with glue and pressure sensitive adhesive to attach to the head of dolls. The colored hair streaks consists of a plurality of colors in flat, glossy, neon, and metallic finishes, whereby colors could be attached to the head of dolls in any creative combination desired by the individual. The adhesive products are non-toxic for child safety.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A tape-in hair extension system to add colored streaks of hair fibers to the head of dolls and toy styling heads.
 a. A weft of colored synthetic or human hair fibers appropriate and proportional to size of toy doll's head, and approximating the texture and brush-ability of human hair.   b. At the top end of hair weft, a strip of pressure sensitive adhesive tape attached horizontally to the weft of hair.   c. Remove pressure sensitive adhesive liner to expose the adhesive and attach to the head of the doll.   d. Subsequent wefts may be attached adjacent, below, above, or on either side of the head.   
     
     
         2 . The method in  claim 1 , further comprising a sandwiched assembly whereby
 a. Liquid craft glue labeled as non-toxic to assemble loose fibers into a hair weft and   b. Single-sided pressure sensitive adhesive tape applied over the non-toxic craft liquid glue. Single sided tape could be a polyethylene backed and acrylic adhesive and   c. Double-coated pressure sensitive tape applied over the non-toxic craft liquid glue. Double-coated tape could be composed of an acrylic adhesive and   d. Trim adhesive assembly to desired length and width.
