Abstract
The present invention relates to the field of beverage dispensers. Specifically, embodiments of the present invention provide an apparatus capable of dispensing water and other beverages through single serving or similar brewing containers. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are configured to be integrated within, on, upon an existing sink or water basin and operate in conjunction with an existing pressurized water source, such as municipal water source, well water source or other residential or commercial pressurized water system.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A beverage medium cup for use in a beverage dispenser, the beverage medium cup comprising:
a beverage medium compartment; at least one filtering hole; a first seal; and a one-way valve.
2 . The beverage medium cup of claim 1 , wherein the first seal is affixed to a top of the beverage medium cup forming a permanent seal.
3 . The beverage medium cup of claim 1 , further comprising a top insert, wherein an inlet spout is integrated into the top insert.
4 . The beverage medium cup of claim 3 , wherein ribs are integrated on a bottom of the top insert.
5 . The beverage medium cup of claim 1 , wherein the at least one filtering hole is diamond shaped.
6 . The beverage medium cup of claim 1 , wherein the one-way valve is a second seal.
7 . The beverage medium cup of claim 6 , wherein the second seal is permanently affixed to the bottom of the beverage medium cup.
8 . The beverage medium cup of claim 6 , wherein the second seal covers the at least one filtering hole.
9 . The beverage medium cup of claim 1 , wherein a center portion of the bottom of the beverage medium cup has no filtering holes.
10 . The beverage medium cup of claim 6 , wherein a perforation of a center portion of the second seal that is releasably retained on the center portion of the bottom of the beverage medium cup such that head pressure in the beverage medium cup, via gasses or liquid, open the perforation, allowing liquid from the at least one filtering hole to escape.
11 . The beverage medium cup of claim 10 , wherein the center portion of the second seal is retained on the center portion of the bottom portion of the beverage medium cup by high viscosity food grade silicone oil.
12 . The beverage medium cup of claim 1 , wherein the one-way valve is an elastomeric umbrella.
13 . The beverage medium cup of claim 12 , wherein the elastomeric umbrella is affixed to the bottom of the beverage medium cup.
14 . The beverage medium cup of claim 12 , wherein the elastomeric umbrella covers the at least one filtering hole.
15 . The beverage medium cup of claim 13 , wherein head pressure in the beverage medium cup, via gases or liquid, allows for the movement of the elastomeric umbrella valve from a closed position to an open position, allowing the gases or liquids to escaped from the at least one filtering hole.
16 . The beverage medium cup of claim 3 , wherein a delivery needle provides water into the inlet spout, whereby water is injected through the inlet spout and through angular elongated slots in the lid into the beverage medium compartment, whereby the water is forced to swirl in one direction providing contact with a beverage media contained in the beverage medium cup.
17 . A beverage medium cup for use in a beverage dispenser, the beverage medium cup comprising:
a beverage medium compartment; at least one filtering hole, wherein the at least one filtering hole is on a bottom of the beverage medium cup; a top insert; an inlet spout integrated into the top insert; and a first seal; wherein a delivery needle provides water into the inlet spout, whereby water is injected through the inlet spout and through angular elongated slots in the lid into the beverage medium compartment, whereby the water is forced to swirl in one direction providing contact with a beverage media contained in the beverage medium cup.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
