Abstract

Described herein are immediate release unit oral solid dose compositions composed of naproxen sodium and nizatidine. The compositions described herein are useful in improving the quality of pain in a subject or a bodily function of a subject afflicted with pain or definite improvement of a subject afflicted with pain.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . An immediate release unit oral solid dose composition comprising (i) naproxen sodium at a dosage from 200 mg to 300 mg per unit oral solid dose and (ii) nizatidine at a dosage from 50 mg to 200 mg per unit oral solid dose. 
     
     
         2 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the naproxen sodium is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         3 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the naproxen sodium is 220 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         4 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of nizatidine is from 50 mg to 150 mg per unit oral solid dose. 
     
     
         5 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the nizatidine is from 50 mg to 100 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         6 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the nizatidine is from 100 mg to 200 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         7 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the naproxen sodium is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit oral solid dose composition and the nizatidine is from 50 mg to 150 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         8 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the naproxen sodium is from 200 mg to 250 mg per unit oral solid dose composition and the nizatidine is from 50 mg to 100 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         9 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the naproxen sodium is 220 mg per unit oral solid dose composition and the nizatidine is from 50 mg to 100 mg per unit oral solid dose composition. 
     
     
         10 . The composition of  claim 1 , wherein the dosage of naproxen sodium is 220 mg per unit oral solid dose and the dosage of nizatidine is 150 mg per unit oral solid dose.
