Space-saving suitcase handle assemblies
Abstract
A space-saving suitcase assembly comprising a plurality of telescoping tubes, the plurality of telescoping tubes including a base tube and a top tube; a handle connected to the top tube; a release button positioned on the handle; the suitcase having a top side, a front side, a back side, a left side, a right side, and a bottom side creating a perimeter surface and an internal volume, a modular stabilizing element made from a rigid material, the modular stabilizing element affixed to the top side via mounting hardware; the base tube connected to the modular stabilizing element providing support to the plurality of telescoping tubes. The modular stabilizing element, the top of the suitcase, or the entire suitcase with modular stabilizing element and base tube and telescoping handles may be manufactured as one unit by injection molding, CNC machining, or 3 D additive manufacturing ( 3 D printing), or other manufacturing process.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An assembly comprising:
a suitcase having a top side, a front side, a back side, a left side, a right side, a bottom side, and an internal volume; a plurality of telescoping tubes, the plurality of telescoping tubes including a base tube and a top tube; a handle connected to the top tube; a release button positioned on the center of the handle; a stabilizing element; the base tube proximally positioned near the top side of the suitcase.
2 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the stabilizing element is a single modular unit and made from a rigid material.
3 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the stabilizing element is affixed to the base tube providing support to the plurality of telescoping tubes.
4 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the single modular includes the base tube.
5 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the stabilizing element is a rectangular ridge having a top surface, wherein the base tube is supported on the top surface.
6 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the stabilizing element is rectangular having a front surface and a back surface, wherein the front surface is affixed to the base tube and the back surface is affixed to the back side of the suitcase via mounting hardware.
7 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the stabilizing element is affixed to the top side of the suitcase via mounting hardware; or the stabilizing element is manufactured as one material unit piece by injection molding, computerized numerical control (CNC) machining, or 3D additive manufacturing (3D printing) or other manufacturing process; or the entire suitcase with modular stabilizing element and base tube and telescoping handles are manufactured as one unit by injection molding, CNC machining, or 3D additive manufacturing (3D printing), or other manufacturing process.
8 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the base tube extends below the stabilizing element at a distance above the bottom side of the suitcase.
9 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the handle has a first width equal to a second width defined by a second distance between the left side and the right side of the suitcase.
10 . The assembly of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of telescoping tubes are located along the left and right side of the suitcase.
11 . The assembly of claim 9 , further comprising a first corner defined by a first intersection where the left side and the back side of the suitcase meet, and a second corner defined by a second intersection where the right side and the back side of the suitcase meet; wherein the plurality of telescoping tubes a e located along the first and second corners such that the plurality of telescoping tubes occupy no internal volume of the suitcase.
12 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the stabilizing element includes a back portion, a top portion, and a curved portion; wherein the curved portion is connected to the top and back portions defining a recess.
13 . The assembly of claim 12 , wherein the top portion and back portions are affixed to the top side and back side of the suitcase respectively, via mounting hardware.
14 . The assembly of claim 13 , wherein the stabilizing element includes the base tube and the base tube protrudes from the curved portion.
15 . The assembly of claim 13 , wherein the base tube extends below the stabilizing element at a distance above the bottom side of the suitcase.
16 . The assembly of claim 5 , wherein the rectangular ridge has a third width equal to the width of the base tube.
17 . The assembly of claim 5 , wherein the rectangular ridge extends from the left side to the right side of the suitcase.
18 . The assembly of claim 16 , further comprising a connecting material connecting to the rectangular ridge and the base tube; wherein the connecting material is made from a rigid material.
19 . A space-saving suitcase assembly comprising:
a plurality of telescoping tubes, the plurality of telescoping tubes including a base tube and a top tube; a handle connected to the top tube; a release button positioned on the handle; the suitcase having a top side, a front side, a back side, a left side, a right side, and a bottom side creating a perimeter surface and an internal volume. a modular stabilizing element made from a rigid material, the modular stabilizing element affixed to the top side via mounting hardware; or the modular stabilizing unit and the top of the suitcase are manufactured as one unit by injection molding, CNC machining, or 3D additive manufacturing (3D printing), or other manufacturing process; or the entire suitcase with modular stabilizing unit and base tube and telescoping handles are manufactured as one unit by injection molding, CNC machining, or 3D additive manufacturing (3D printing), or other manufacturing process; the base tube connected to the modular stabilizing element providing support to the plurality of telescoping tubes.
20 . The space-saving assembly of claim 19 , wherein the base tube is the modular stabilizing element e and the modular stabilizing element is manufactured as one unit by injection molding, CNC machining, or 3D additive manufacturing (3D printing), or other manufacturing process.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
