Abstract

A microchannel coil assembly comprising a frame, a plurality of microchannel coils positioned within the frame, a microchannel coil spray system, a controller in communication with the microchannel coil spray system and one or more fans positioned above the microchannel spray system. The microchannel coil spray system is positioned about the frame and above the plurality of microchannel coils and is configured to provide a spray to the plurality of microchannel coils and the one or more fans are configured to direct air downward across the plurality of microchannel coils. Further, the controller is configured to operate the microchannel coil spray system based on a predetermined event and the predetermined event is a load of the plurality of microchannel coils.

         21 . A microchannel coil assembly, comprising:
 a frame;   a plurality of microchannel coils positioned within the frame;   a microchannel coil spray system positioned about the frame and above the plurality of microchannel coils, the microchannel coil spray system configured to provide a spray to the plurality of microchannel coils;   a controller in communication with the microchannel coil spray system; and   one or more fans positioned above the microchannel spray system, the one or more fans configured to direct air downward across the plurality of microchannel coils;   wherein the controller is configured to operate the microchannel coil spray system based on a predetermined event and the predetermined event is a load of the plurality of microchannel coils.   
     
     
         22 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 21 , wherein the microchannel coil spray system comprises a plurality of nozzles. 
     
     
         23 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 22 , wherein the plurality of nozzles is supported by a plurality of beams. 
     
     
         24 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 23 , wherein the plurality of beams is connected to the frame. 
     
     
         25 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 21 , wherein the spray comprises a water spray, a cleaning spray, or a cooling spray. 
     
     
         26 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 21 , wherein the plurality of microchannel coils comprises an aluminum. 
     
     
         27 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 21 , wherein operation of the microchannel coil spray system removes heat from the plurality of microchannel coils. 
     
     
         28 . A microchannel coil assembly, comprising:
 a frame;   a plurality of microchannel coils positioned within the frame;   a plurality of spray nozzles positioned about the frame and above the plurality of microchannel coils, the plurality of spray nozzles configured to provide a spray to the plurality of microchannel coils;   a controller in communication with the plurality of spray nozzles; and   one or more fans positioned above the plurality of spray nozzles, the one or more fans configured to direct air downward across the plurality of microchannel coils;   wherein the controller is configured to operate the plurality of spray nozzles based on a predetermined event and the predetermined event is a load of the plurality of microchannel coils.   
     
     
         29 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 28 , wherein the spray comprises a water spray, a cleaning spray, or a cooling spray. 
     
     
         30 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 28 , wherein the plurality of spray nozzles are supported by a plurality of beams. 
     
     
         31 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 30 , wherein plurality of beams is connected to the frame. 
     
     
         32 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 28 , wherein the plurality of microchannel coils comprises an aluminum. 
     
     
         33 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 28 , wherein operation of the plurality of spray nozzles removes heat from the plurality of microchannel coils. 
     
     
         34 . A controller comprising one or more processors and logic encoded in non-transitory computer readable memory, the logic, when executed by the one or more processors, operable to:
 operate a microchannel coil assembly comprising a plurality of microchannel coils positioned within a frame and a microchannel coil spray system positioned about the frame and above the plurality of microchannel coils;   wherein the controller is operable to operate the microchannel coil spray system to spray the plurality of microchannel coils based on a load of the plurality of microchannel coils.   
     
     
         35 . The controller of  claim 34 , wherein the microchannel coil spray system comprises a plurality of nozzles. 
     
     
         36 . The controller of  claim 35 , wherein the plurality of nozzles is supported by a plurality of beams. 
     
     
         37 . The controller of  claim 36 , wherein the plurality of beams is connected to the frame. 
     
     
         38 . The controller of  claim 34 , wherein spraying the plurality of microchannel coils comprises spraying one or more of: a water spray, a cleaning spray, or a cooling spray. 
     
     
         39 . The controller of  claim 34 , wherein the plurality of microchannel coils comprises an aluminum. 
     
     
         40 . The microchannel coil assembly of  claim 34 , wherein operation of the microchannel coil spray system removes heat from the plurality of microchannel coils.
