Abstract

Device ( 1 ) for surface sampling, comprising: a flat material layer ( 2 ) comprising a surface portion ( 2 c ) and a circumferential edge portion ( 2 d ) defining the boundary of the surface portion ( 2 c ), further comprising a sampling volume ( 2 a ), wherein the sampling volume ( 2 a ) is adapted to comprise a filler device ( 2 b ) for filling out the sampling volume ( 2 a ), a protective layer ( 3 ) arranged on the surface portion ( 2 c ) of the material layer ( 2 ) by an adhesive ( 4 ) arranged on the material layer ( 2 ), wherein a portion ( 3 a ) of the protective layer ( 3 ) extends beyond the boundary of the surface portion ( 2 c ) for facilitating a removal of the protective layer ( 3 ) from the material layer ( 2 ).

 a flat material layer ( 2 ) comprising a surface portion ( 2   c ) and a circumferential edge portion ( 2   d ) defining the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ), further comprising a sampling volume ( 2   a ), wherein the sampling volume ( 2   a ) is adapted to comprise a filler device ( 2   b ) for filling out the sampling volume ( 2   a ),   a protective layer ( 3 ) arranged on the surface portion ( 2   c ) of the material layer ( 2 ) by an adhesive ( 4 ) arranged on the material layer ( 2 ),   wherein a portion ( 3   a ) of the protective layer ( 3 ) extends beyond the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ) for facilitating a removal of the protective layer ( 3 ) from the material layer ( 2 ).

 a flat material layer ( 2 ) comprising a surface portion ( 2   c ) and a circumferential edge portion ( 2   d ) defining the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ), further comprising a sampling volume ( 2   a ), wherein the sampling volume ( 2   a ) is adapted to comprise a filler device ( 2   b ) of the material ( 2 ) for filling out the sampling volume ( 2   a ),   a protective layer ( 3 ) arranged on the surface portion ( 2   c ) of the material layer ( 2 ) by an adhesive ( 4 ) arranged on the material layer ( 2 ),   wherein a gripping device ( 5 ,  6 ) is arranged between the protective layer ( 3 ) and the material layer ( 2 ) comprising a portion ( 5   a ,  6   a ) extending beyond the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ) for facilitating a removal of the protective layer ( 3 ) from the flat material layer ( 2 ).   
     
     
         3 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 2 , wherein the gripping device ( 5 ) is attached to the underside ( 3   b ) of the protective layer ( 3 ) using an adhesive. 
     
     
         4 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 3 , wherein
 the gripping device ( 5 ) is further attached to the upper side ( 3   c ) of the protective layer ( 3 ) using an adhesive.   
     
     
         5 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 2 , wherein the gripping device ( 6 ) is a thin thread. 
     
     
         6 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 2 , wherein the gripping device ( 6 ) is a flat elongated sheet device. 
     
     
         7 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 6 , wherein the gripping device ( 6 ) comprises a silicone treated portion ( 6   a ). 
     
     
         8 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 7  wherein the entire gripping device ( 6 ) is silicone treated. 
     
     
         9 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 6  wherein the gripping device ( 6 ) comprises a portion ( 6   b ) non-treated with silicon. 
     
     
         10 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 6 , wherein at least a portion of the silicon treated portion ( 6   a ) extends beyond the boundary of the material ( 2 ). 
     
     
         11 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 5 , wherein the gripping device ( 6 ) extends beyond the boundary of the material layer ( 2 ) on two sides. 
     
     
         12 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , wherein a filler device ( 2   b ) is arranged in the sampling volume ( 2   a ). 
     
     
         13 . The device ( 1 ) according to  claim 9 , wherein a filler device ( 2   b ) is arranged in the sampling volume ( 2   a ) and the portion ( 6   b ) of the gripping device ( 6 ), non-treated with silicone, is attached to the filler device ( 2   b ) by the adhesive ( 4 ). 
     
     
         14 . Device ( 1 ) for surface sampling, comprising:
 a flat material layer ( 2 ) comprising a surface portion ( 2   c ) and a circumferential edge portion ( 2   d ) defining the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ), further comprising a sampling volume ( 2   a ), wherein the sampling volume ( 2   a ) is adapted to comprise a filler device ( 2   b ) of the material ( 2 ) for filling out the sampling volume ( 2   a ),   a protective layer ( 3 ) arranged on the surface portion ( 2   c ) of the material layer ( 2 ) by an adhesive ( 4 ) arranged on the material layer ( 2 ),   wherein a gripping device ( 5 ,  6 ) is attached to an upper side  3   c  of the protective layer ( 3 ) comprising a portion ( 5   a ) extending beyond the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ) for facilitating a removal of the protective layer ( 3 ) from the flat material layer ( 2 ).   
     
     
         15 . Device ( 1 ) for surface sampling, comprising:
 a flat material layer ( 2 ) comprising a surface portion ( 2   c ) and a circumferential edge portion ( 2   d ) defining the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ), further comprising a sampling volume ( 2   a ), wherein the sampling volume ( 2   a ) is adapted to comprise a filler device ( 2   b ) of the material ( 2 ) for filling out the sampling volume ( 2   a ),   a protective layer ( 3 ) arranged on the surface portion ( 2   c ) of the material layer ( 2 ) by an adhesive ( 4 ) arranged on the material layer ( 2 ),   wherein a gripping device ( 5 ,  6 ) comprising one portion ( 5   e ) attached to an upper side  3   c  of the protective layer ( 3 ) comprising a further portion ( 5   f ) extending entirely within the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ) for facilitating a removal of the protective layer ( 3 ) from the flat material layer ( 2 ).   
     
     
         16 . Device ( 1 ) for surface sampling, wherein the device ( 1 ) is configured for being fixed to a test surface, and for allowing washing/extracting liquid to be injected and extracted from the device while being fixed to the test surface, the device ( 1 ) comprising:
 a flat material layer ( 2 ) comprising a surface portion ( 2   c ) and a circumferential edge portion ( 2   d ) defining the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ), further comprising a sampling volume ( 2   a ), wherein the sampling volume ( 2   a ) is adapted to comprise a filler device ( 2   b ) for filling out the sampling volume ( 2   a ),   a protective layer ( 3 ) arranged on the surface portion ( 2   c ) of the material layer ( 2 ) by an adhesive ( 4 ) arranged on the material layer ( 2 ),   wherein a portion ( 3   a ) of the protective layer ( 3 ) extends beyond the boundary of the surface portion ( 2   c ) for facilitating a removal of the protective layer ( 3 ) from the material layer ( 2 ).   
     
     
         17 . Method of manufacturing a device ( 1 ) according to  claim 1 , the method comprising:
 feeding an elongated material layer  2 , and a protective layer  3  and latex sheet or thin elastomer film  9  arranged on a respective side of the material layer  2 ,   forming a circumferential edge portion  2   d  of the of the material layer by punching through the latex sheet or thin elastomer film  9  and the material layer  2  using a punch ( 7   b ) for forming a circumferential edge portion  2   d  of the material layer,   forming a portion ( 3   a ) of the protective layer by punching through the protective layer ( 3 ) using a further punch ( 7   c ) for forming a portion ( 3   a ), whereby the punching, or at least part of the punching, is carried out outside the circumferential edge portion  2   d.      
     
     
         18 . Method according to  claim 17 , whereby forming of the sampling volume  2   a  is carried out using a first punch ( 7   a ) and adding a latex sheet or thin elastomer film  9  is carried out before using the punch ( 7   b ) for forming the circumferential edge portion  2   d.

Method according to  claim 17 , wherein the punching using the punch ( 7   b ) for forming the circumferential edge portion  2   d , forms at least punching lines  2   d   1  and  2   d   2  having a first distance there between, and wherein the punching using punch  7   c  for forming the portion  3   a , forms at least punching lines  3   a   1  and  3   a   2  having a second distance there between, wherein the second distance is larger than the first distance at least where the portion ( 3   a ) is formed. 
     
     
         20 . Method according to  claim 17  wherein forming the portion ( 3   a ) is carried out by punching through latex sheet or thin elastomer film  9 , the material layer  2  in addition to the protective layer ( 3 ).
