Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for producing artificial skin, comprising: adding a matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor and a heparanase inhibitor to an artificial skin formation culture medium comprising human epidermal keratinocytes and human dermal fibroblasts, culturing the cells in the artificial skin formation culture medium, and forming artificial skin.

A method for promoting the regeneration and repair of the epidermal basement membrane and/or dermis of a subject in need of the regeneration and repair of the epidermal basement membrane and/or dermis, comprising applying a matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor and a heparanase inhibitor to a skin of the subject. 
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein said applying comprises applying to the skin of the subject a fluid or composition comprising the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor and the heparanase inhibitor as active ingredients. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor and the heparanase inhibitor constitute 0.0000001% by weight to 10% by weight of the fluid or composition. 
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor and the heparanase inhibitor constitute 0.000001% by weight to 10% by weight of the fluid or composition. 
     
     
         5 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 10 μg/L to 10 g/L of the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 5 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 100 μg/L to 1 g/L of the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 1 mg/L to 100 mg/L of the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor. 
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 10 μg/L to 100 g/L of the heparanase inhibitor. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 8 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 100 μg/L to 10 g/L of the heparanase inhibitor. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 9 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 1 mg/L to 1 g/L of the heparanase inhibitor. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 2 , wherein the fluid or composition comprises 1 mg/L to 100 mg/L of the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor and 1 mg/L to 1 g/L of the heparanase inhibitor. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the subject is a human. 
     
     
         13 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor is a substance that inhibits gelatinase, collagenase, stromelysin or matrilysin. 
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor is p-NH2-Bz-Gly-Pro-D-Leu-Ala-NHOH. 
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein said applying results in prevention and improvement of decreased skin function accompanying structural changes in the epidermal basement membrane and/or dermis attributable to aging in the subject. 
     
     
         16 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein said applying results in prevention and improvement of wrinkling and hardening of the skin of the subject.
