Abstract

A garment having a configurable pouch is disclosed. The garment includes the improvement of a pouch configured to fold over a pair of opposing pockets positioned on a front side thereof. The pouch comprises a sheet of material, or “flap” being attached to the garment. The flap is attached to the garment along a lateral seam extending about an area of the garment beneath the opposing pockets. The flap can be configured to hang downwardly from the lateral seam, with the opposing pockets being exposed. Alternatively, the flap can be configured vertically about the garment and engaged with one or more securing elements such that the flap is configured to form a pouch covering the opposing pockets. Other features and embodiments will be further described in the appended detailed description.

. The garment of claim 1 , wherein said pouch being configured in the second configuration forms a third pocket disposed adjacent to each of the first and second inner pockets.

. The garment of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more securing elements comprises: a button, snap, Velcro, zipper, magnet, or a combination thereof.

. The garment of claim 1 , wherein each of the one or more fasteners comprises: a button, snap, Velcro, zipper, magnet, or a combination thereof.

. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the garment forms a hooded sweatshirt.

. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the garment forms a jumpsuit.

. A garment, comprising:
a vertical opening extending along a front side of the garment from a lateral seam to a neck portion, the vertical opening comprising one or more fasteners for opening and closing the garment along the vertical opening; a first inner pocket positioned adjacent to the vertical opening at a first side thereof; a second inner pocket positioned adjacent to the vertical opening at a second side opposite of the first side; and a flap being attached to the garment along the lateral seam, the lateral seam extending horizontally about the garment beneath the first and second pockets and above a gusset.

. The garment of claim 7 , wherein the flap is configurable in a first configuration with the flap extending downwardly from the lateral seam

. The garment of claim 8 , wherein the flap is configurable in a second configuration with the flap extending upwardly from the lateral seam and being engaged with one or more securing elements positioned above the lateral seam thereby forming a pouch, the pouch being positioned in front of the first and second pockets

. The garment of claim 9 , wherein said pouch being configured in the second configuration forms a third pocket disposed adjacent to each of the first and second inner pockets.

. The garment of claim 9 , wherein each of the one or more securing elements comprises: a button, snap, Velcro, zipper, magnet, or a combination thereof.

. The garment of claim 9 , wherein each of the one or more fasteners comprises: a button, snap, Velcro, zipper, magnet, or a combination thereof.

. The garment of claim 9 , further comprising a hood.
