What is claimed is:

. A wearable towel, comprising:
a towel body, wherein the towel body has a slit extending from one edge of the towel body toward the center of the towel body; wherein the slit is configured to divide a portion of the towel body into a first towel member and a second towel member; and a fastener configured to removably couple the first towel member to the second towel member.

. The towel of claim 1 , wherein the towel body is rectangular.

. The towel of claim 1 , wherein the fastener comprises a snap.

. The towel of claim 1 , wherein the slit has a length that is less than half of the length of the towel body.

. The towel of claim 1 , wherein the slit is sized and dimensioned to fit around a user's neck.

. The towel of claim 1 , wherein the towel is comprised of a cloth material.

. The towel of claim 6 , wherein the cloth material is one of: cotton, polyester, terry cloth, microfiber, bamboo, rayon, non-woven fiber.

. An exercise towel, comprising:
a piece of cloth, wherein at least a portion of the piece of cloth is split; a hem lining the sides of the split of the piece of cloth; and a fastener coupled to either side of the split, and configured to removably couple the sides of the split to one another.

. The exercise towel of claim 8 , wherein the piece of cloth is partially composed of at least one of: terry cloth, microfiber, bamboo, rayon, non-woven fiber.

. The exercise towel of claim 8 , wherein the fastener is one of: a snap, a hook, a button, a magnet, a Velcro™ fastener.

. The exercise towel of claim 8 , wherein the hem comprises a different material than the piece cloth.

. The exercise towel of claim 8 , wherein the split of the piece of cloth extends less than halfway into the towel.

. The exercise towel of claim 8 , wherein the fastener is one of: a snap, a hook, a button, a magnet, a Velcro™ fastener.

. The exercise towel of claim 8 , wherein the exercise towel has a substantially rectangular shape.

. A method for manufacturing a wearable towel, the method comprising:
providing a piece of cloth; cutting at least a portion of the piece of cloth to produce a cut, wherein the cut extends from an edge of the piece toward the center of the piece of cloth, and wherein the cut produces a first side and a second side of the piece of cloth; reinforcing the edges of the cut with a reinforcement material; and coupling a first part of a fastening mechanism to the edge of the first side, and coupling a second part of a fastening mechanism to the edge of the second side.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein cloth: cotton, polyester, terry cloth, microfiber, bamboo, rayon, non-woven fiber.

. The method of claim 15 , further comprising the step of attaching the reinforcement material to the edges of the cut.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the first part of the fastening mechanism is configured to removably couple with the second part of the second part.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the cut is sized and dimensioned to fit around a user's neck.
