Abstract

A bowl assembly for a base driven appliance, the base driven appliance providing a primary drive coupling for the accessory assembly. The accessory assembly including: a bowl element that defines a reservoir; and a gear-box element having a secondary drive coupling and a secondary driven coupling. The bowl element defames a lower recess that removably receives the gear-box element, such that the primary drive coupling can engage the secondary driven coupling when the bowl assembly is supported by the base driven appliance. The secondary driven coupling is couplable to an accessory element that is operated within the reservoir, and such that the accessory element is operable by rotation of the primary drive coupling.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 .- 20 . (canceled)

21 . An ice-cream making assembly for a base driven appliance, the assembly including:
a dual wall bowl that is coupleable to a base located below; a paddle located within the bowl, wherein the paddle is driven from the base; a lid removably coupleable to the bowl; wherein the bowl has an outer wall and an upwardly-extending centrally-located sleeve, the sleeve extends above a fill height for defining an annular reservoir region; the sleeve has an upper aperture for receiving the paddle coupling; and wherein the bowl has an inner-surface formation and an outer-surface formation, the inner-surface formation is a seamless surface that extends to the upper edge of both the outer wall and the sleeve, the inner-surface formation and the outer surface formation are sealed to form an intermediate region.

22 . The assembly according to claim 21 , the assembly further including:
a gearbox element, wherein sleeve defines a lower recess for receiving the gearing element from below the bowl.

23 . The assembly according to claim 22 , wherein the gearbox element is releasably engaged to the bowl.

24 . The assembly according to claim 22 , wherein the gearbox element has a locating element for locating the gearbox element with respect to the base and resisting rotation there between.

25 . The assembly according to claim 22 , wherein gearbox element forms a seal against an inner surface of the lower recess to restrict ingress through the upper aperture in communication with the lower recess.

26 . The assembly according to claim 22 , wherein the gearbox element is releasable retained within bowl such that the bowl assembly can be removed from the base with the gearbox element engaged.

27 . The assembly according to claim 26 , wherein the gearbox element is releasably engages to the bowl by a bayonet coupling.

28 . The assembly according to claim 22 , wherein the gearbox element has a clutch for restricting torque applied to the paddle.

29 . The assembly according to claim 21 , the assembly further including: a mounting element for releasably coupling the bowl and base.

30 . The assembly according to claim 21 , the assembly further including an interlock assembly that cooperates with a lid for the reservoir, wherein the lid is in a fastened position engages the interlock element allowing a controller to actuate a motor to drive the primary driven coupling.

31 . The assembly according to claim 21 , further including an interlock assembly that cooperates with a lid for the reservoir, wherein the interlock element prohibits the primary driven coupling from being driven when the lid is not engaged.

32 . The assembly according to claim 21 , further including a heat sink located in the intermediate region between the inner-surface formulation and the outer-surface formulation.

33 . The assembly according to claim 21 , further including a coolant gel located in the intermediate region between the inner-surface formulation and the outer-surface formulation.

34 . The assembly according to claim 21 , further including a pair of o-rings that forms a seal when captured between the inner-surface formation and the outer-surface formation.

35 . The assembly according to claim 21 , wherein a bonding agent forms a seal between the inner-surface formation and the outer-surface formation, the bonding agent being a room temperature vulcanizing silicone.

36 . The assembly according to claim 21 , wherein the lid is releasably coupled to the bowl using a bayonet coupling.

37 . The assembly according to claim 21 , wherein the lid includes a central hub that receives a central spindle of paddle.
