Abstract
An anchor for supporting a load comprises an anchor rod having a lower threaded portion for being embedded in a concrete structure and an upper portion for extending outside the concrete structure; a metallic body attached to the lower portion, the body including a top surface and a bottom surface joined by a vertical side surface; and the side surface including at least one shoulder extending therefrom.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 - 13 . (canceled)
14 . An anchor for supporting a load, comprising:
a) an anchor rod having a lower threaded portion for being embedded in a concrete structure and an upper portion for attachment to a load; b) a metallic wedge-shaped body attached to said lower threaded portion; and c) said body is circular in cross-section and including a circular top surface and a circular bottom surface joined by a side surface.
15 . An anchor as in claim 14 , wherein said side surface is conical.
16 . An anchor as in claim 14 , wherein said side surface is convex.
17 . An anchor as in claim 14 , wherein said body includes a shoulder extending from said surface.
18 . An anchor as in claim 17 , wherein said surface terminated into said shoulder with a radius surface.
19 . An anchor as in claim 14 , wherein said body includes a central opening.
20 . An anchor as in claim 19 , wherein said opening is threaded.
21 . An anchor for supporting a load, comprising:
a) an anchor rod having a lower threaded portion for being embedded in a concrete structure and an upper portion for attachment to a load; b) a metallic cylindrical body attached to said lower threaded portion; and c) said body including an upper horizontal edge surface to provide a load bearing surface, said body including a bottom surface joined to said upper horizontal edge surface by a side surface.
22 . An anchor as in claim 21 , wherein said body includes outside threads.
23 . An anchor as in claim 21 , wherein said body includes a shoulder extending from said side surface.
24 . An anchor as in claim 21 , wherein:
a) said body includes a circumferential groove disposed at a bottom end portion; and b) a split ring disposed within said groove.
25 . An anchor as in claim 21 , wherein said body includes a central opening.
26 . An anchor as in claim 25 , wherein said opening is threaded.
27 . An anchor for supporting a load, comprising:
a) an anchor rod having a lower threaded portion for being embedded in a concrete structure and an upper portion for attachment to a load; b) a metallic body attached to said lower threaded portion, said body including first cylindrical portion disposed next to a second cylindrical portion; and c) said first cylindrical portion including a circumferential portion extending beyond said second cylindrical portion.
28 . An anchor as in claim 27 , wherein said body includes a central opening.
29 . An anchor as in claim 28 , wherein said opening is threaded.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
