Abstract
An environmentally safe, non-phytotoxic pesticidal composition comprising natural plant oils geraniol and cedar oil and methods of controlling insects is provided.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 12 . (canceled)
12 . A ready to use liquid spray for knocking down and controlling insects comprising:
a) geraniol in amounts ranging from about 0.1% to about 1.0%. b) Cedar oil in amounts ranging from 0.01% to 0.05%, c) sodium laureth sulfate, and d) an aerosol propellant,
wherein all % amounts are weight % based on all the components in the total liquid spray.
13 . The liquid spray of claim 11 , wherein geraniol is in the amounts ranging from 0.1% to 0.05%.
14 . The liquid spray of claim 11 , wherein cedar oil is in the amounts ranging up to about 0.02%.
15 . The liquid spray of claim 11 , wherein the aerosol propellant is selected from the group consisting of carbon dioxide, liquefied petroleum gasses, hydrofluorocarbons and a mixture thereof.
16 . The liquid spray of claim 11 , wherein sodium laureth sulfate is present in an amount ranging from 0.1% to 1.0%.
17 . A method of knocking down insects comprising applying an insecticidally effective amount of a ready to use liquid spray comprising:
a) geraniol in amounts ranging from about 0.1% to about 1.0%. b) Cedar oil in amounts ranging from 0.01% to 0.05%, c) sodium laureth sulfate, and d) an aerosol propellant,
wherein all % amounts are weight % based on all the components in the total liquid spray, and further wherein.
18 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the aerosol propellant is selected from the group consisting of carbon dioxide, liquefied petroleum gasses, hydrofluorocarbons and a mixture thereof.
19 . The method of claim 17 , wherein sodium laureth sulfate is present in an amount ranging from 0.1% to 1.0%.
20 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the insects are selected from the group consisting of Lasius ant, lady bettle, brown stink bug, green peach aphid, house cricket, longtail mealy bug, and combinations thereof.
21 . The method of claim 20 , wherein 100% mortality of insects is achieved within 24 hours post administration to the site of interest.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
