Abstract

A receptor that can be associated with an aperture through the wall of a hat and receive items such as the stems of a pair of sunglasses. The receptor is generally attached only at the aperture.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A hat including a receptor for holding items, the hat comprising:
a dome haying a wall and defining an interior wall, the dome being constructed of multiple pieces of fabric joined together at one or more seams; the dome defining at least one left side aperture through a left side wall of the dome and at least one right side aperture through a right side wall of the dome, wherein the left side aperture is defined by an opening in a seam between two of the multiple pieces located on a left side of the dome and the right side aperture is defined by an opening in a seam between two of the multiple pieces located on a right side of the dome; and a left receptor defining at least one opening that coincides with the left side aperture and a right side receptor defining at least one opening that coincides with the right side aperture, wherein stems of a pair of glasses that are inserted through the left side aperture and right side aperture can be inserted into the left receptor and right receptor.

2 . The hat of claim 1 , wherein the edges of left receptor and right receptor define an opening and the edges of the opening of the left receptor and the right receptor are attached to hat and at the left and right apertures respectfully.

3 . The hat of claim 2 , wherein the remainder of the left receptor and right receptor are not attached to the hat.

4 . The hat of claim 2 , wherein the remainder of the left receptor and the right receptor are tacked to the interior surface of the hat at one or more locations.

5 . The hat of claim 1 , wherein the left receptor and the right receptor are cloth tubes.

6 . The hat of claim 1 , wherein the left receptor and the right receptor are pockets formed by attaching two pieces of material together.

7 . The hat of claim 1 , wherein the left receptor and the right receptor include a structure to apply friction to an eye glass stem inserted into the left receptor or the right receptor.

8 . The hat of claim 1 , wherein the left receptor and the right receptor are at least partially constructed of a silicone tube.

9 . An item to be worn on the head that comprises:
a receptor defining an interior for receiving an eye glass stem; the receptor defining an opening for receiving the eye glass stem into the interior of the receptor; and the receptor being attached to the edges of an aperture defined by the item to be worn on the head such that the aperture operates as an entrance into the interior of the receptor.

10 . The item of claim 9 , further comprising two or more such receptors.

11 . The item of claim 10 , wherein each receptor is a cloth tube.

12 . The item of claim 10 , wherein each receptor is a silicone tube.

13 . The item of claim 10 , wherein each receptor is a pocket formed by attaching two pieces of cloth overlaid on top of each other.
