Abstract
An image processing device includes an image determiner which determines whether an image data is a still image or a motion picture image, a first compensator which gradually changes a scaling ratio of the image data of which a center part is fixed and a second compensator which divides the image data into a plurality of sub-image data and change a scaling ratio of the sub-image data.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An image processing device comprising:
an image determiner which determines whether an image data is a still image or a motion picture image; a first compensator which gradually changes a scaling ratio of the image data of which a center part is fixed; and a second compensator which divides the image data into a plurality of sub-image data and change a scaling ratio of the plurality of sub-image data.
2 . The image processing device of claim 1 , wherein the image determiner provides a first compensating signal to the first compensator or the second compensator when the image data is the still image, and
wherein the image determiner provides a second compensating signal to the first compensator or the second compensator when the image data is the motion picture image.
3 . The image processing device of claim 2 , wherein the first compensator gradually expands or reduces the image data of which the center part is fixed in response to the first compensating signal.
4 . The image processing device of claim 2 , wherein the first compensator expands or reduces the image data based on the scaling ratio.
5 . The image processing device of claim 2 , wherein the first compensator restores the image data by gradually expanding the image data of which the center part is fixed in response to the second compensating signal.
6 . The image processing device of claim 2 , wherein the second compensator reduces one of the plurality of sub-image data in response to the first compensating signal.
7 . The image processing device of claim 6 , wherein the second compensator controls the scaling ratio of the plurality of sub-image data which is not reduced.
8 . The image processing device of claim 2 , wherein the second compensator restores the plurality of sub-image data of which the scaling ratio is changed in response to the second compensating signal.
9 . The image processing device of claim 1 , the image determiner alternately provides a first compensating signal to the first compensator and a second compensator when the image data is the still image.
10 . A display device comprising:
a display panel including a plurality of pixels; an image processor which gradually changes a scaling ratio of an image data of which a center part is fixed or change the scaling ratio of sub-image data into which the image data is divided based on whether the image data is a still image or a motion picture image; a scan driver which provides a scan signal to the plurality of pixels; a data driver which provides a data signal to the plurality of pixels; and a timing controller which generates a control signal which controls the scan driver and the data driver.
11 . The display device of claim 10 , wherein the image processor includes:
an image determiner which determines whether the image data is the still image or the motion picture image; a first compensator which gradually changes the scaling ratio of the image data of which the center part is fixed; and a second compensator which divides the imaged data into the sub-image data and change the scaling ratio of the sub-image data different from each other.
12 . The display device of claim 11 , wherein the image determiner provides a first compensating signal to the first compensator or the second compensator when the image data is the still image, and
wherein the image determiner provides a second compensating signal to the first compensator or the second compensator when the image data is the motion picture image.
13 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the first compensator gradually expands or reduces the image data of which the center part is fixed in response to the first compensating signal.
14 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the first compensator expands or reduces the image data based on the scaling ratio.
15 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the first compensator restores the image data by gradually expanding the image data of which the center part is fixed in response to the second compensating signal.
16 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the second compensator reduces one of the sub-image data in response to the first compensating signal.
17 . The display device of claim 16 , wherein the second compensator controls the scaling ratio of the sub-image data which is not reduced.
18 . The display device of claim 12 , wherein the second compensator restores the sub-image data of which the scaling ratio is changed in response to the second compensating signal.
19 . The display device of claim 11 , wherein the image determiner alternately provides a first compensating signal to the first compensator and the second compensator in a predetermined cycle when the image data is the still image.
20 . The display device of claim 11 , wherein the image processor is coupled to the timing controller or located in the timing controller.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
