Abstract

A wrap foil dispenser, comprising a base plate, provided with a channel, through which a blade glides. As part of a cutter assembly which glides along a guide, the blade slides and cuts the foil without touching the plate. The cutter assembly includes an arm which ensures that the blade engages the foil. In case the plate is laterally tilted or the cutter is slid by hand, the cutter assembly moves along a channel to which cutting edges of the blade are placed inside. When the blade is moved, the foil, placed on the upper side of the channel, is cut. The blade's vertical position is uniform as a result of the cutting assembly pressing through the arm's own weight which is limited by a buffer element. The dispenser may include a rotating support, provided with two conical elements that ensure mounting of foil rolls having various dimensions.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . Wrap foil dispenser for foil rolls preferably wounded on a cylindrical core, comprising:
a base plate 2 having two lateral walls 17 and 18 , wherein, on the lateral walls 17 and 18 there are supporting elements 21 and 22 , for supporting a rotating support 12 , and also supporting elements 19 and 20 to fix a sliding guide 4 , on which is glided a cutter assembly 5 , provided with a blade 6 in the inferior side, the base plate 2 being provided with a channel 3 , parallel with the guide 4 , upon which the cutter assembly 5 is gliding, the peak point “c” of the blade 6 is positioned inside the channel 3 , with the cutting edges “a” and “b” at a level established at the level of the plan of the plate, the foil roll being positioned upon the base plate 2 , the level of the cutting edges of the blade being determined by a buffer element 10 .

2 . Dispenser according to claim 1 wherein the buffer element 10 has a shape of a disk that it is turning up upon a shaft 9 of the cutter assembly 5 , the disk's radius defines the distance between the cutter assembly 5 to the plate 2 and the depth the blade 6 gets into the channel 3 of the plate 2 .

3 . Dispenser according to claim 1 wherein the cutter assembly 5 is a heavy element and it is pressed by its own weight, ensuring the pressing and the position of the blade 6 on the plate, respectively, the position of the cutting point “c” inside the channel 3 , the result being the foil cutting, the weight of the cutter assembly 5 ensuring also the force, necessary for the lateral sliding on the guide 4 , when the plate is tilted to one or the other end of the guide 4 .

4 . Dispenser according to claim 1 wherein the rotating support 12 comprises a support pipe 13 and two conical elements 24 having the peaks positioned face to face, each of them provided inside with a cylindrical hole “g”, allowing their mounting on the pipe 13 , the distance between the two conical elements 14 mounted on the pipe 13 being adjustable.

5 . Dispenser according to claim 1 wherein, it comprises a rotating pipe 25 placed between the rotating support pipe 13 and the sliding guide 4 , in order to guide the foil 16 at the level of cutting edges of the blade 6 .
