Portable shielding device
Abstract
A shielding device of the present invention includes a plurality of rigid planar pieces slidably connected by track formation in a seriatim manner. The track formation further includes a lateral length shorter than a the full lateral length of each of the plurality of rigid planar pieces. An inset angled notch on one end of each rigid planar piece is for receiving the other end of an adjacent rigid planar piece. A travel limiter means on the track formation creates a small overlapping segment between two adjacent rigid planar pieces with a small angle formed between the two adjacent rigid planar pieces.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A shielding device, comprising:
a. a plurality of rigid planar pieces slidably connected by track formation in a seriatim manner; b. wherein the track formation further includes a lateral length shorter than a the full lateral length of each of the plurality of rigid planar pieces; c. an inset angled notch on one end of each rigid planar piece receives the other end of an adjacent rigid planar piece; and d. a travel limiter on the track formation creates a small overlapping segment between two adjacent rigid planar pieces with a small angle formed between the two adjacent rigid planar pieces.
2 . The shielding device of claim 1 , wherein the track formation is an overlapping track formation.
3 . The shielding device of claim 2 , wherein the travel limiter means utilizes matching stopper blocks at two connected end locations of the overlapping track formation.
4 . The shielding device of claim 1 , wherein the track formation is of a C track formation.
5 . The shielding device of claim 4 , wherein the travel limiter means includes a close-end block at one end of an inside track and a matching stopper peg at the other end of a matching outside loop.
6 . The shielding device of claim 1 , wherein the track formation can be on a top or at a bottom portion of the rigid planar pieces.
7 . The shielding device of claim 1 , further comprising foot pieces that have detachable wheels, so as to facilitate moving around on a ground either in the fold-up state or deployed state.
8 . The shielding device of claim 1 , wherein the inset angled notch on one end of each rigid planar piece is cut into a corner of the rigid planar piece.
9 . The shielding device of claim 1 , wherein the travel limiter means of the track formation makes an end-to-end connection on every two adjacent rigid planar pieces; and further comprising hooking mechanisms on the left-most and right-most rigid planar pieces for engaging to external structures.
10 . The shielding device of claim 1 , wherein the rigid planar pieces and the track formations are slightly arc-shaped; and wherein the track formations on each rigid planar pieces does not cover the full lateral length of said rigid planar piece; and
wherein the track formations have travel limiters, so as to create a small overlapping segment between two adjacent rigid planar pieces.
11 . The shielding device of claim 1 , further comprising
b. a pop-out ball structure and a corresponding receiving cavity on two adjacent said rigid planar pieces respectively, so that when two adjacent rigid planar pieces are moved laterally to form a drawn out extended screen shape, said ball structure on one rigid planar piece will click into the corresponding receiving cavity on the adjacent rigid planar piece to stop further lateral movement, having a small overlapping segment between two adjacent rigid planar pieces; and c. a protrusion actuated by the clicking-in of said pop-out ball structure to the corresponding receiving cavity, resulting in the intended protrusion from one rigid planar piece to push away the adjacent rigid planar piece and creating a small angle between the two adjacent rigid planar pieces.
12 . The shielding device of claim 11 , wherein the track formation is an overlapping track formation.
13 . The shielding device of claim 12 , wherein the travel limiter means utilizes matching stopper blocks at two connected end locations of the overlapping track formation.
14 . The shielding device of claim 11 , wherein the track formation is of a C track formation.
15 . The shielding device of claim 14 , wherein the travel limiter means includes a close-end block at one end of an inside track and a matching stopper peg at the other end of a matching outside loop.
16 . The shielding device of claim 11 , wherein the track formation can be on a top or at a bottom portion of the rigid planar pieces.
17 . The shielding device of claim 11 , further comprising foot pieces that have detachable wheels, so as to facilitate moving around on a ground either in the fold-up state or deployed state.
18 . The shielding device of claim 11 , wherein the inset angled notch on one end of each rigid planar piece is cut into a corner of the rigid planar piece.
19 . The shielding device of claim 11 , wherein the travel limiter means of the track formation makes an end-to-end connection on every two adjacent rigid planar pieces; and further comprising hooking mechanisms on the left-most and right-most rigid planar pieces for engaging to external structures.
20 . The shielding device of claim 11 , wherein the rigid planar pieces and the track formations are slightly arc-shaped; and wherein the track formations on each rigid planar pieces does not cover the full lateral length of said rigid planar piece; and wherein the track formations have travel limiters, so as to create a small overlapping segment between two adjacent rigid planar pieces.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
