Abstract
A novel container is described having an outer chamber adapted to hold an amount of a first liquid; an inner chamber displaced within the outer chamber, the inner chamber adapted to hold an amount of a second liquid; and a cap having a mouthpiece adapted to allow the first liquid and second liquid to flow therethrough. The cap may be adapted to allow passage of the first liquid, but not the second liquid, when the mouthpiece is in a first position. The cap may also be adapted to allow passage of the second liquid, but not the first liquid, when the mouthpiece is in a second position.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A cap adapted to be attached to a container comprising an outer chamber for holding an amount of a first liquid and an inner chamber disposed within the outer chamber for holding an amount of a second liquid, the cap comprising:
a mouthpiece adapted to allow the first liquid and the second liquid to flow therethrough; a middle section comprising:
an open top end fixed to the mouthpiece;
a bottom end;
a hollow wall extending from the open top end to the bottom end to define a channel; and
an aperture located along the hollow wall, the aperture adapted to allow the first liquid or the second liquid of the container to pass through the middle section channel to reach the mouthpiece; and
a base adapted to be attached to the inner chamber and the outer chamber, the base being further adapted to receive at least a portion of the middle section therein such that the middle section and the mouthpiece may move vertically with respect to the base and the inner chamber, wherein the cap is adapted to allow passage of the first liquid, but not the second liquid, when the mouthpiece and the middle section are in a first vertical position, and wherein the cap is adapted to allow passage of the second liquid, but not the first liquid, when the mouthpiece and the middle section are in a second vertical position.
2 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the cap is further adapted to prevent passage of the first liquid and the second liquid when the middle section is in a third vertical position.
3 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the middle section comprises a track that is adapted to fit a complementary track of the mouthpiece.
4 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises one or more grips for facilitating movement of the mouthpiece and the middle section with respect to the base.
5 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the base comprises a first set of tracks adapted to fit a corresponding complementary track of the outer chamber and a second set of tracks adapted to fit a complementary track of the inner chamber.
6 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the cap is adapted to allow the vertical movement of the mouthpiece to be achieved by a push-pull movement or a rotation of the mouthpiece.
7 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the cap is adapted to pierce at least one of a group consisting of: a seal of the inner chamber and a seal of the outer chamber.
8 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the middle section is not rotatable with respect to the base.
9 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the bottom end of the middle section is closed.
10 . The cap of claim 1 , wherein the bottom end blocks an aperture of the base leading to the inner chamber when the cap is in the second vertical position.
11 . A container comprising:
an outer chamber adapted to hold an amount of a first liquid; an inner chamber displaced within the outer chamber, the inner chamber adapted to hold an amount of a second liquid; and a cap comprising:
a mouthpiece adapted to allow the first liquid and the second liquid to flow therethrough;
a middle section comprising:
an open top end fixed to the mouthpiece;
a bottom end;
a hollow wall extending from the open top end to the bottom end to define a channel; and
an aperture located along the hollow wall, the aperture adapted to allow the first liquid or the second liquid to pass through the middle section channel to reach the mouthpiece; and
a base adapted to be attached to the inner chamber and the outer chamber, the base being further adapted to receive at least a portion of the middle section therein such that the middle section and the mouthpiece may move vertically with respect to the base and the inner chamber,
wherein the cap is adapted to allow passage of the first liquid, but not the second liquid, when the mouthpiece and the middle section are in a first vertical position, and wherein the cap is adapted to allow passage of the second liquid, but not the first liquid, when the mouthpiece and the middle section are is in a second vertical position.
12 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the cap is further adapted to prevent passage of the first liquid and the second liquid when the middle section is in a third vertical position.
13 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the middle section comprises a track that is adapted to fit a complementary track of the mouthpiece.
14 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the mouthpiece comprises one or more grips for facilitating movement of the mouthpiece and the middle section with respect to the base.
15 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the base comprises a first set of tracks adapted to fit a corresponding complementary track of the outer chamber and a second set of tracks adapted to fit a complementary track of the outer chamber.
16 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the bottom end of the middle section is closed.
17 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the bottom end blocks an aperture of the base leading to the inner chamber when the cap is in the second vertical position.
18 . The container of claim 11 , wherein the first liquid is selected from the group consisting of: a functional or nutritional supplement, an alcoholic beverage, water, flavored water, juice, pressed juices, carbonated beverage, shampoo, hair product, oil and milk.
19 . The container of claim 18 , wherein the second liquid is selected from the group consisting of: a functional or nutritional supplement, an alcoholic beverage, water, flavored water, juice, pressed juices, carbonated beverage, shampoo, hair product, oil and milk.
20 . The container according to claim 19 , wherein the first liquid is water and the second liquid is a nutritional supplement.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
