Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A method of treating a subject with a chemoresistant or radioresistant prostate cancer, the method comprises:
administering a therapeutically effective amount of a selective inhibitor of a JAK/STAT pathway to the subject.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the selective inhibitor of the JAK/STAT pathway inhibits at least one of a JAK1, a JAK2, a STAT1 or a STAT3.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the prostate cancer has an amplified level of MCL1, DHX58, PSMB8, PSMB9, or PSMB10 expression as compared to a normal control cell.

4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of at least one of an antineoplastic agent or a radio therapy.

5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the radio therapy comprises at least one of brachytherapy, external beam radiation therapy, or radiation from cesium, iridium, iodine, or cobalt.
