Abstract
Methods and kits for treating a cardiac arrhythmia using a platelet rich plasma (PRP) composition are provided. Any type of arrhythmia may be treated using the PRP composition. The PRP composition may comprise PRP developed using blood collected from a patient suffering the cardiac arrhythmia. The PRP composition may be buffered to a physiological pH and may include one or more anti-arrhythmic agents, anti-coagulants, or other drugs. The PRP composition may be delivered using a nebulizer, minimally invasively, or surgically.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method for treating a issue injury, comprising:
identifying a tissue injury in a patient; and delivering a platelet rich plasma (PRP) composition to the patient in an amount sufficient to treat the tissue injury, wherein the platelet rich plasma composition is in an inhalable form.
2 - 7 . (canceled)
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the platelet rich plasma composition is prepared from whole blood of the patient.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the platelet rich plasma composition is buffered to a physiological pH, and wherein the physiological pH is between about 7.3 and about 7.5.
10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inhalable form is an inhalable powder.
11 . (canceled)
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inhalable form is delivered with a nebulizer or inhaler.
13 . (canceled)
14 . A kit comprising:
a nebulizer or inhaler comprising platelet rich plasma in an inhalable form.
15 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the injured tissue is selected from the group consisting of stomach, abdominal wall, bladder, and vascular tissue.
22 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inhalable form is a dry powder.
23 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the inhalable form is a PRP composition delivered with a nebulizer or inhaler.
24 . A method of preparing platelet rich plasma (PRP) comprising
isolating platelets; and drying the isolated platelets.
25 . The method of claim 24 , wherein the platelets are buffered to a physiological pH, and wherein the physiological pH is between about 7.3 and about 7.5.
26 . A method of preparing PRP in an inhalable form comprising:
collecting blood from a patient; isolating platelets from the collected blood; suspending the isolated platelets in plasma to form a PRP composition; providing the isolated PRP composition in an inhaler or nebulizer.
27 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the platelets are isolated by centrifugation.
28 . The method of claim 26 , wherein the platelet rich plasma composition is buffered to a physiological pH, and wherein the physiological pH is between about 7.3 and about 7.5.
29 . The method of claim 26 , further comprising leukoreducing the PRP composition.
30 . The method of claim 26 , further comprising immunoadsorbing the PRP composition.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
