Claims
Abstract
The present invention includes methods and compositions useful for treating and preventing skin disorders, hair loss and other skin disorders. The compositions include an ARD enhancer in combination with a second compound or composition. In some embodiments the second compound is at least one of a bactericide, an antibiotic, an anti-microbial peptide, Vitamin A, a Vitamin A derivative, a retinoid, an anti-inflammatory compound, and anti-androgen compounds.

1 . A method of treating a subject for a skin disorder, comprising:
a) administering to said subject a first compound comprising an ARD enhancer provided in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier; and b) administering to said subject a second compound comprising a bactericide, an antibiotic, an anti-microbial peptide, Vitamin A, a Vitamin A derivative, a retinoid, an anti-inflammatory compound, or a combination thereof, provided in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier;
wherein said subject is treated for said skin disorder.
2 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said ARD enhancer comprises ASC-J9 or ASC-J15.
3 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said ARD enhancer comprises ASC-Q9, ASC-Q44, ASC-Q49, ASC-Q77, ASC-Q98, ASC-Q99, ASC-Q101, ASC-Q102, ASC-Q103, ASC-Q110, ASC-Q111, ASC-Q113, ASC-Q116, ASC-JM1, ASC-JM2, ASC-JM4, ASC-JM5, ASC-JM6, ASC-JM7, ASC-JM12, ASC-JM13, ASC-JM14, ASC-JM16, ASC-JM17, ASC-JM18, or ASC-JM19.
4 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said second compound comprises a retinoid.
5 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said skin disorder comprises acne, atopic dermatitis, rosacea, a wound, or wound healing.
6 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said skin disorder comprises acne or is acne.
7 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said skin disorder comprises rosacea.
8 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said skin disorder comprises atopic dermatitis.
9 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said skin disorder comprises a wound or wound healing.
10 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said first compound and said second compound are provided together.
11 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said first compound and said second compound are provided separately.
12 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein said first compound and said second compound are administered together.
