Abstract
A feminine hygiene article such as pantiliner having a topsheet and a backsheet. The article further includes a printed pattern and an embossed pattern. The embossed pattern has at least one embossed decorative element and the printed pattern has a printed decorative element which is substantially similar to the embossed decorative element.

1 . An absorbent article, comprising:
a. a topsheet layer; b. a backsheet layer; c. an absorbent core layer disposed between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer; d. one or more optional additional layers; e. a printed pattern printed that is printed on the backsheet layer, the printed pattern comprising a printed design that is not visible when viewing the topsheet layer; and f. a thermal bond pattern that is embossed in at least one of the layers, the thermal bond pattern comprising an thermal bond design that is visible when viewing the topsheet layer; g. wherein the printed design is substantially similar to the thermal bond design.
2 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein some of the printed pattern outside of a perimeter area of the absorbent core layer is visible when viewing the topsheet layer.
3 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the thermal bond design is embossed into the absorbent core layer.
4 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the printed design is substantially the same design as the thermal bond design.
5 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the printed design is substantially the same size as the thermal bond design.
6 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein one of the thermal bond design and the printed design comprises continuous lines and the other of the thermal bond design and the printed design comprises a series of dots and/or dashes.
7 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the topsheet layer comprises a lotion.
8 . An absorbent article, comprising:
a. a topsheet layer; b. a backsheet layer; c. an absorbent core layer disposed between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer; d. a release cover providing individualized packaging for the absorbent article, the release cover comprising printing; e. a printed pattern printed that is printed on at least one of the layers, the printed pattern comprising a printed design; and f. an embossed pattern that is embossed in at least one of the layers, the thermal bond pattern comprising an thermal bond design; g. wherein the printed design is substantially similar to the thermal bond design.
9 . The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the printed pattern is printed on the backsheet layer.
10 . The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein at least some of the printed pattern is visible when viewing the topsheet layer.
11 . The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the thermal bond pattern is embossed in at least one of the topsheet layer and the absorbent core layer.
12 . The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the printed design is substantially the same design as the thermal bond design.
13 . The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein the printed design is substantially the same size as the thermal bond design.
14 . The absorbent article of claim 8 , wherein one of the thermal bond design and the printed design comprises continuous lines and the other of the thermal bond design and the printed design comprises a series of dots and/or dashes.
15 . An absorbent article, comprising:
a. a topsheet layer comprising a lotion; b. a backsheet layer; c. an absorbent core layer disposed between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer; d. one or more optional additional layers; e. a printed pattern printed that is printed a layer other than the topsheet layer, the printed pattern comprising a printed design; f. an thermal bond pattern that is embossed in at least one of the layers, the thermal bond pattern comprising an thermal bond design that is visible when viewing the topsheet layer; g. wherein the printed design is substantially similar to the thermal bond design.
16 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein printed pattern is printed on the backsheet layer.
17 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the thermal bond pattern is embossed in at least one of the topsheet layer and the absorbent core layer.
18 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the printed design is substantially the same design as the thermal bond design.
19 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the printed design is substantially the same size as the thermal bond design.
