Pest management system

Abstract

The present invention provides compositions and methods for the control and management of wildlife populations (including domesticated animals) and pests. Specifically provided are pest control systems incorporating the use of repellent or attractant formulations.

1 . A pest management device comprising:
 a. an outer sidewall having an angle relative to a horizontal surface of between 45 and 135 degrees;   b. a radial interior platform connected to the outer sidewall at least through the lower edge of each, wherein the radial interior platform is vertically inwardly tapered;   c. at least one port extending through the outer sidewall to a cavity beneath the radial interior platform, wherein said cavity is configured to house a bait for luring one or more pests; and   d. one or more supporting ribs, wherein each of said one or more supporting ribs extends from a first end thereof at said outer sidewall to a second end thereof at said radial interior platform.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the height of the radial interior platform is equal to or less than the height of the outer sidewall. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein said device has a radial base, said radial base having a diameter of from about 2 to about 10 inches. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 3 , wherein a ratio of a radius of the radial interior platform to a radius of the radial base (IPr:RBr) is between 0.2 and 0.9. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the cavity comprises a bait box. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the pest management device is integrated into a plant pot. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the outer sidewall comprises at least one drainage hole. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein the pest management device is configured for stacking with similar pest management devices. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 1 , wherein a bait is coated on an inner surface of the cavity. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 9 , wherein the bait is an ant bait. 
     
     
         11 . The device of  claim 10 , wherein the ant bait comprises a poison.
