Bolt action ar15 barrel nut

Abstract

This invention is for a bolt action barrel lock nut with standard AR15, M16, and M4 connection point. This will allow the modularity, customization and weight savings of the standard AR15 to extend to the popular bolt action rifles that utilize barrel lock nuts. This barrel lock nut will allow the use of handguards/rails that connect utilizing the standard AR15 barrel nut that is shaped like a cog and depicted in the attached notional drawings. The barrel nut would also allow the use of a standard AR15 barrel wrench or a Savage style barrel wrench.

1 . The attachment of AR15, M16, and M4 styled handguards to bolt action receivers utilizing a barrel lock nut regardless of receiver size, thread or manufacturer.
