Claims

Abstract

An image forming apparatus includes an operation unit receiving an instruction, and a connecting unit to which a wireless communication unit is detachably attached. The connecting unit is arranged at a bottom surface of a recessed portion formed on a back surface. The recessed portion has such a depth d that an indicator unit indicating a communicating state of a wireless communication unit, arranged on a surface of the wireless communication unit attached to the connecting unit, protrudes from the recessed portion. Thus, the possibility that a USB wireless LAN adaptor is damaged by external force or is erroneously pulled out can be reduced, the communicating state can easily be recognized visually, and thus, the USB wireless LAN adaptor can be used safely.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An image forming apparatus, comprising:
 an apparatus body;   an operation portion which is arranged in a front side of said apparatus body and receives an input by a user;   a first USB socket which is arranged in the front side of said apparatus body; and   a second USB socket which is arranged in a position on said apparatus body, diagonally opposite to said first USB socket.   
     
     
         2 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said first USB socket and said second USB socket are arranged so as to face opposite directions. 
     
     
         3 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said first USB socket is arranged in a lower portion than an upper surface of said operation portion. 
     
     
         4 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said operation portion includes a touch panel, and said first USB socket is arranged in an opposite side to said touch panel in a width direction of said apparatus body. 
     
     
         5 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said operation portion includes a touch panel, and said first USB socket is arranged in the same side as said touch panel in a width direction of said apparatus body. 
     
     
         6 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said operation portion includes a touch panel, and said first USB socket is arranged in a right side from said touch panel in a width direction of said apparatus body. 
     
     
         7 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , further comprising an internal sheet discharging tray onto which a recording sheet formed with an image is discharged, wherein
 said first USB socket is arranged above an upper surface of said internal sheet discharge tray.   
     
     
         8 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein said second USB socket is arranged in a recessed portion formed on said apparatus body. 
     
     
         9 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein said second USB socket is arranged in an upper portion of said recessed portion such that a longitudinal side thereof is along a vertical direction. 
     
     
         10 . An image forming apparatus, comprising:
 an apparatus body;   an operation portion which is arranged in a front side of said apparatus body and receives an input by a user;   a first USB socket which is arranged in the front side of said apparatus body; and   a second USB socket which is arranged in a rear side of said apparatus body, wherein   said second USB socket is arranged in a position deviated from said first USB socket in a width direction of said apparatus body and lower than said first USB socket.   
     
     
         11 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said first USB socket and said second USB socket are arranged so as to face opposite directions. 
     
     
         12 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said first USB socket is arranged in a lower portion than an upper surface of said operation portion. 
     
     
         13 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said operation portion includes a touch panel, and said first USB socket is arranged in an opposite side to said touch panel in a width direction of said apparatus body. 
     
     
         14 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said operation portion includes a touch panel, and said first USB socket is arranged in the same side as said touch panel in a width direction of said apparatus body. 
     
     
         15 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said operation portion includes a touch panel, and said first USB socket is arranged in a right side from said touch panel in a width direction of said apparatus body. 
     
     
         16 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , further comprising an internal sheet discharging tray onto which a recording sheet formed with an image is discharged, wherein
 said first USB socket is arranged above an upper surface of said internal sheet discharge tray.   
     
     
         17 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein said second USB socket is arranged in a recessed portion formed on said apparatus body. 
     
     
         18 . The image forming apparatus according to  claim 17 , wherein said second USB socket is arranged in an upper portion of said recessed portion such that a longitudinal side thereof is along a vertical direction.
