Cabinet
Abstract
A cabinet includes a frame and first and second drawers each coupled to the frame and arranged adjacent to one another. The first and second drawers are independently moveable relative to the frame between open and closed positions. Each of the drawers defines a drawer compartment, with the drawer compartment being disposed within an opening of the frame when the drawer is in the closed position and at least partially outside of the opening when the drawer is in the open position. The cabinet further includes a partition disposed within the drawer compartment of the first drawer to define opposing sections of the first drawer, and storage receptacles removeably mounted to the partition within the drawer compartment and accessible from each of the sections.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A cabinet comprising:
a frame defining an opening; first and second drawers each coupled to said frame arranged adjacent to one another and independently moveable relative to said frame between open and closed positions, and each of said drawers defining a drawer compartment with said drawer compartment being disposed within said opening when said drawer is in said closed position and at least partially outside of said opening when said drawer is in said open position; a partition disposed within said drawer compartment of said first drawer to define opposing sections of said first drawer; and a plurality of storage receptacles removeably mounted to said partition within said drawer compartment and accessible from each of said sections.
2 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said storage receptacles are individually removeably coupled to said partition.
3 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition defines a plurality of coupling mechanisms for coupling said storage receptacles to said partition.
4 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 3 wherein each of said coupling mechanisms is a slot defined in said partition.
5 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition has at least one row of coupling mechanisms for coupling said storage receptacles to said partition.
6 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition has three rows of coupling mechanisms for coupling said storage receptacles to said partition, with each of said rows including four coupling mechanisms.
7 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition defines a plurality of coupling mechanisms and each of said storage receptacles is individually coupled to and removable from said partition by a respective one of said coupling mechanisms.
8 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition defines a plurality of coupling mechanisms facing each of said opposing sections, and a plurality of said storage receptacles removeably coupled to said partition within both of said opposing sections by a selected one of said coupling mechanisms.
9 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition has first and second panels with said first panel spaced from said second panel and said panels defining a top of said partition, and said partition further has a plurality of separators with each pair of adjacent separators defining a coupling mechanism at said top for coupling one of said storage receptacles to said partition at said top.
10 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said partition defines a plurality of coupling mechanisms accessible from each of said sections with each of said coupling mechanisms accessible from one of said sections being aligned with a respective one of said coupling mechanisms accessible from the other of said sections.
11 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said first drawer further includes a base, a front pane, and a back panel with each of said panels extending vertically from said base and substantially parallel to one another and said partition being arranged between and substantially perpendicular to said front and back panels.
12 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said first drawer further includes at least one track moveably coupled to said frame for enabling said first drawer to move between said open and closed positions.
13 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said second drawer includes a support for receiving a trash receptacle within said drawer compartment.
14 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 13 wherein said second drawer includes a base, a front panel, and a back panel with each of said panels extending vertically from said base and substantially parallel to one another, and said support being coupled to said front and back panels.
15 . The cabinet as set forth in claim 1 wherein said plurality of drawers further includes a third drawer extending across said opening and arranged above said first and second drawers.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
