Supplementary Organizer and Storage Device

Abstract

A supplementary organizer and storage device is disclosed in which the device incorporates a central portion having a first side and a second side both descending down from the central portion, the first side having a pocket for receiving an object and the second side having a pocket for receiving an object, the central portion for being placed on top of an appliance and the first side and the second side for draping over top of the appliance.

I claim: 
     
         37 . A supplementary organizer and storage device for use upon a mini refrigerator in a dormitory or apartment and useful for temporary storage of accessories, comprising:
 said storage device including a central portion forming at least one panel to be applied contiguously upon the upper surface of the mini refrigerator upon which said device is applied, said central portion having first and second side edges and having an interior surface, and said interior surface provided for resting upon the upper surface of a mini refrigerator during usage, and to furnish support for the device when applied thereon;   said device having a first side and a second side, each of said sides having an upper edge, and the upper edge of each side securing to one of the first and second side edges of the central portion of said device, and said first side and said second side draping contiguously down against the walls of any refrigerator upon which the device is applied during usage;   a plurality of pockets applied to each of the first side and said second side of said storage device, and said pockets being arranged externally upon said sides, at least one of said pockets having elasticity in forming a compartment for holding items, and at least one of said pockets being expandable and partially formed of elastic material to provide for expansion to facilitate its opening and storage of items therein; and   wherein said device capable of being applied onto the mini refrigerator, with the central portion placed on top of the refrigerator and supported thereupon, and with said first side and said second side draping over the refrigerator and arranged in contiguity with the sides of the refrigerator to which the device is applied for storage of accessories therein.   
     
     
         38 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , including a plurality of pockets applied to each of the first side and said second side of the storage device, and said pockets being arranged externally upon said sides, and select of said pockets being of differing sizes from each other, and at least one of
 said pockets having a circular compartment, with said circular compartment being shaped to hold a circular item therein, and at least one of said pockets comprising said elastic mesh compartment for holding items, and at least another of said pockets being expandable and formed partially of elastic material to provide for its expansion to facilitate its opening and storage of items therein.   
     
     
         39 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , and further comprising a magnet provided proximate the bottom edge of each of the sides of said storage device, for adherence of the storage device to any metal surface of the refrigerator upon which the storage device is applied. 
     
     
         40 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein select ones of said pockets are of the same size. 
     
     
         41 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein said the interior upper surface of the central portion of said device having a portion of frictional material to prevent said central portion from laterally slipping laterally relative to the refrigerator during usage of said device. 
     
     
         42 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37  and further comprising an interior surface for the first side and the second side being padded with an inner lining to furnish additional protection to the refrigerator upon which the device is applied. 
     
     
         43 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein said first side and said second side having a reinforcing rod applied to proximate the upper edge of each of said first and second sides to prevent drooping during usage of said device. 
     
     
         44 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein said central portion forms a panel to cover substantially the entire upper surface of a mini refrigerator upon which said device is applied during usage. 
     
     
         45 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein said central portion of said device comprising a pair of panels, and wherein said pair of panels are formed of straps, that extend across the upper surface of the refrigerator upon which the device is applied, and said pair of straps having interior surfaces, and said interior surface having a frictional material to prevent the central portion from slipping relative to the refrigerator during usage of said device; and
 the first side and the second side of said device each having said upper edges, and the upper edge of each side securing to the pair of straps, with said first side and second side draping downwardly along the sides of the refrigerator upon which the device is applied during usage.   
     
     
         46 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein at least one of said pockets including a fastening means to secure it into closure. 
     
     
         47 . The supplementary organizer and storage device of  claim 46 , wherein each of said pair of straps being secured together by means of hook and pile fastening means, and said straps being adjustable to provide for their accommodation upon the top surface of any refrigerator to which it is applied. 
     
     
         48 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 47 , wherein said first side and said second side having a reinforcing rod applied to the upper edge of each of said first and second sides to prevent drooping of said sides during usage of the device. 
     
     
         49 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 37 , wherein select of said plurality of pockets applied to each of the first side and said second side of the device being formed in rows. 
     
     
         50 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 49 , wherein the pockets provided upon the first side, and the pockets provided upon the second side of said device, being of the same size. 
     
     
         51 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 49 , wherein the pockets applied to the first side, and the pockets applied to the second side, are of differing sizes. 
     
     
         52 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 51 , wherein select of said pockets are expandable and other of said pockets are formed of elastic material to provide for expansion when items are stored therein. 
     
     
         53 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 51 , wherein select of said pockets are larger than the other pockets applied to the first and second sides of said device. 
     
     
         54 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 41 , wherein the frictional material applied to the central portion is a frictional rubberized material. 
     
     
         55 . The supplemental organizer and storage device of  claim 45 , wherein the frictional material applied to the central portion is a frictional rubberized material. 
     
     
         56 . A supplemental organizer and storage device for use upon a mini refrigerator in a dormitory or apartment and useful for temporary storage of accessories, comprising:
 said storage device including a central portion forming at least one panel to be applied contiguously upon the upper surface of the mini refrigerator upon which the device is applied, said central portion having first and second side edges, and having an interior surface, and said interior surface provided for resting upon the upper surface of a mini refrigerator during usage, and to furnish support for the device when applied thereon;   said device having a first side and a second side, each of said sides having an upper edge, and the upper edge of each side securing to one of the first and second side edges of the central portion of said device, and said first side and said second side capable of draping contiguously down against the walls of any refrigerator upon which the device is applied during usage;   a plurality of pockets applied to each of the first side and said second side of said storage device, and said pockets being arranged externally upon said sides, and said pockets capable of being pulled open for the deposit of accessories therein during usage of said device; and   said device capable of being applied onto the mini refrigerator, with the central portion placed on top of the refrigerator and supported thereupon, and with said first side and said second side draping over the refrigerator and arranged in contiguity with the sides of the refrigerator to which the device is applied for storage of accessories therein.   
     
     
         57 . A supplemental organizer and storage device for use upon an item of furniture within a small or confined space, such as in a dormatory, apartment, or other small facility and useful for temporary storage of accessories, comprising:
 said storage device including a central portion forming at least one panel to be applied contiguously upon the upper surface of the furniture upon which the device is applied, said central portion having first and second side edges, and having an interior surface, and said interior surface provided for resting upon the upper surface of the furniture during usage, and to furnish support for the device when applied thereon;   said device having a first side and a second side, each of said sides having an upper edge, and the upper edge of each side securing to one of the first and second side edges of the central portion of said device, and said first side and said second side capable of draping contiguously down against the walls of any furniture upon which the device is applied during usage;   a plurality of pockets applied to each of the first side and said second side of said storage device, and said pockets being arranged externally upon said sides, and said pockets capable of being pulled open for the deposit of accessories therein during usage of said device; and   said device capable of being applied upon the item of furniture, and with the central portion placed on the top of the furniture and supported thereupon, and with first side and said second side draping over the furniture and arranged in contiguity with the sides of the furniture to which the device is applied for storage of accessories therein.
