Abstract
A method and apparatus of accessing a channel in a wireless local area network is provided. A destination station receives a request to send (RTS) frame to allocate a network allocation vector from a source station over a first bandwidth and transmits a clear to send (CTS) frame over a second bandwidth to the source station in response to the RTS frame. The second bandwidth is dynamically determined when a first parameter has a predetermined value.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A frame transmitting method in a wireless communication system having two or more different bandwidth transmission modes, the frame transmitting method comprising:
transmitting channel state information or data frame mode information added to a request frame, upon transmission of a request frame; and generating and transmitting the data frame, based on the channel state information or the receivable data frame mode information contained in a response frame, upon reception of the response frame with respect to the request frame including the channel state information or the receivable data frame mode information from a reception node.
2 . A power saving method in a wireless communication system having two or more different bandwidth transmission modes, the power saving method comprising:
receiving a control frame by setting the control frame to be received in a mode having the lowest sampling rate among the bandwidth modes, upon reception of the control frame; and transmitting/receiving a data packet by setting the data packet to be transmitted/received in a mode having the highest sampling rate in order for transmission/reception of the data packet after the control frame is received.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
