Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . A finned water shoe assembly comprising:
a shoe having an upper; and a fin having a top surface and a bottom surface, said fin having a concavely arcuate edge, said concavely arcuate edge being coupled to said uppersuch that said bottom surface of said fin is spaced from a lower edge of said upper.

2 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising said top surface having a plurality of top grooves positioned therein, each of said top grooves extending from said concavely arcuate edge to a forward end of said fin.

3 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising said bottom surface of said fin having a plurality of bottom grooves positioned therein, each of said bottom grooves extending from said concavely arcuate edge to a forward end of said fin.

4 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising said fin having a forward end, said forward end having a length greater than a width of said upper wherein opposite ends of said forward end of said fin flare laterally outward relative to said upper.

5 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising said shoe including a sole, said sole extending below said bottom surface of said fin.

6 . The assembly of claim 5 , further comprising an exterior surface of said sole having a plurality of depressions extending therein.

7 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising said sole comprising a heel section, said depressions being positioned in said heel section.

8 . The assembly of claim 7 , further comprising said exterior surface of said sole having a plurality of parallel elongated indents, said indents being spaced along a longitudinal axis of said sole.

9 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising:
said upper including a front end, a rear end and a pair of opposed sides coupled to and extending between said front and rear ends; and said fin extending outwardly from said front end and said opposed sides of said upper.

10 . The assembly of claim 9 , further comprising said fin extending outwardly from each of said opposed sides of said lower edge.

11 . The assembly of claim 1 , further comprising said fin having a pair of outer edges coupled to and extending between a forward end and outer ends of said concavely arcuate edge, each of said outer edges being curved between said forward end and said outer ends of said concavely arcuate edge.

12 . The assembly of claim 2 , further comprising said top grooves extending radially between said concavely arcuate edge and said forward end of said fin.

13 . The assembly of claim 3 , further comprising said bottom grooves being curved.

14 . A finned water shoe assembly comprising:
a shoe having an upper, said upper including a front end, a rear end and a pair of opposed sides coupled to and extending between said front and rear ends, said shoe including a sole, an exterior surface of said sole having a plurality of depressions extending therein, said sole comprising a heel section, said depressions being positioned in said heel section, said exterior surface of said sole having a plurality of parallel elongated indents, said indents being spaced along a longitudinal axis of said sole; a fin having a top surface and a bottom surface, said fin having a concavely arcuate edge, said concavely arcuate edge being coupled to said upper such that said bottom surface of said fin is spaced from a lower edge of said upper, said fin extending outwardly from said front end and said opposed sides of said upper, said sole extending below said bottom surface of said fin, said top surface having a plurality of top grooves positioned therein, each of said top grooves extending from said concavely arcuate edge to a forward end of said fin, said top grooves extending radially between said concavely arcuate edge and said forward end of said fin, said bottom surface of said fin having a plurality of bottom grooves positioned therein, each of said bottom grooves extending from said concavely arcuate edge to said forward end of said fin, said bottom grooves being curved, said forward end having a length greater than a width of said upper wherein opposite ends of said forward end of said fin flare laterally outward relative to said upper, said fin having a pair of outer edges coupled to and extending between a forward end and outer ends of said concavely arcuate edge, each of said outer edges being curved between said forward end and said outer ends of said concavely arcuate edge.
