Toilet seat covering device

Abstract

A toilet seat covering device includes a panel of flexible, water impermeable material having a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge. The perimeter edge includes a rear edge, a front edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The panel has an aperture extending through the top and bottom sides having a size and shape to be aligned with an opening in a toilet seat. The aperture is positioned nearer to the rear edge than the front edge. A distance from the front edge to the aperture is greater than 12.0 inches. The panel has a perforated line therein extending between the first and second lateral edges. The perforated line is positioned between the aperture and the front edge to facilitate removal of an end portion of the panel to define a mat.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A toilet seat sanitation covering device, said device being configured to be positioned on an upper surface of a toilet seat to prevent contact between the toilet seat and a user's skin, said device comprising:
 a panel comprised of a flexible, water impermeable material having a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge, said perimeter edge including a rear edge, a front edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge, said panel having an aperture extending through said top and bottom sides, said aperture having a size and shape configure to be aligned with an opening in a toilet seat, a border of said panel positioned between said aperture and said perimeter edge being configured to substantially cover the toilet seat when said aperture is aligned with the opening, said aperture being positioned nearer to said rear edge than said front edge, a distance from said front edge to said aperture being greater than 12.0 inches; and   said panel having a perforated line therein extending between said first and second lateral edges, said perforated line being positioned between said aperture and said front edge to facilitate removal of an end portion of said panel to define a mat, said end portion having a length from said perforated line to said front edge of at least 8.0 inches.   
     
     
         2 . The toilet seat sanitation covering device according to  claim 1 , further including a gripping tab being attached to said perimeter edge and extending outwardly away therefrom. 
     
     
         3 . The toilet seat sanitation covering device according to  claim 2 , wherein said gripping tab is attached to said first lateral edge and being positioned between said front and rear edges. 
     
     
         4 . The toilet seat sanitation covering device according to  claim 1 , further including a protection tab being attached to a peripheral edge of said aperutre, said protection tab being positioned proximal to said perforated line and distal to said rear edge. 
     
     
         5 . A toilet seat sanitation covering device, said device being configured to be positioned on an upper surface of a toilet seat to prevent contact between the toilet seat and a user's skin, said device comprising:
 a panel comprised of a flexible, water impermeable material having a top side, a bottom side and a perimeter edge, said perimeter edge including a rear edge, a front edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge, said panel having an aperture extending through said top and bottom sides, said aperture having a size and shape configure to be aligned with an opening in a toilet seat, a border of said panel positioned between said aperture and said perimeter edge being configured to substantially cover the toilet seat when said aperture is aligned with the opening, said aperture being positioned nearer to said rear edge than said front edge, a distance from said front edge to said aperture being greater than 12.0 inches;   said panel having a perforated line therein extending between said first and second lateral edges, said perforated line being positioned between said aperture and said front edge to facilitate removal of an end portion of said panel to define a mat, said end portion having a length from said perforated line to said front edge of at least 8.0 inches;   a gripping tab being attached to said perimeter edge and extending outwardly away therefrom, said gripping tab being attached to said first lateral edge and being positioned between said front and rear edges; and   a protection tab being attached to a peripheral edge of said aperture, said protection tab being positioned proximal to said perforated line and distal to said rear edge.
