Abstract
A lipstick storage assembly includes a housing that has an opening to access a plurality of discrete lipstick spaces. Each of the discrete lipstick spaces insertably receives a tube of lipstick. A base is movably coupled to the housing. An extender is positioned within the base. The extender urges a selected one of the tubes of lipstick upwardly in the discrete lipstick spaces. The extender is in mechanical communication with the base. The base is rotatable relative to the housing such that the extender engages the selected tube of lipstick.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A lipstick storage assembly configured to store a plurality of tubes of lipsticks, said assembly comprising:
a housing having an opening to access a plurality of discrete lipstick spaces, each of said discrete lipstick spaces being configured to insertably receive a tube of lipstick; a base movably coupled to said housing; and an extender positioned within said base, said extender being configured to urge a selected one of the tube of lipstick upwardly in said discrete lipstick spaces, said extender being in mechanical communication with said base, said base being rotatable relative to said housing such that said extender engages the selected tube of lipstick.
2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said housing has a top wall, a bottom wall and a peripheral wall extending therebetween, said top wall having said opening extending downwardly therein toward said bottom wall, said opening extending between said peripheral wall and a center of said top wall, said opening having a circular shape such that said opening extends around an entire circumference of said center, said housing having a cylindrical shape.
3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said base has an upper wall, a lower wall and an outer wall extending therebetween, said upper wall being rotatably coupled to said bottom wall, said outer wall being aligned with said peripheral wall.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said discrete lipstick spaces are defined by a divider having a top end, a bottom end and a perimeter wall extending therebetween, said divider being positioned within said opening, said bottom end abutting a top surface of said bottom wall, said top end being aligned with said top wall.
5 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said divider has a plurality of undulating curves to define a plurality of lobes extending between said center and said peripheral wall, said lobes being distributed around said center, said lobes defining said plurality of discrete lipstick spaces, said bottom wall of said housing having a plurality of slots extending therethrough, each of said slots being aligned with one of said discrete lipstick spaces.
6 . The assembly according to claim 5 , wherein said extender includes a spring biasing member positioned between said upper wall and said lower wall.
7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , further comprising a plunger having a top edge and a bottom edge, said top edge angling downwardly between a middle of said top edge toward said bottom edge, said plunger having a triangular shape, said bottom edge engaging said spring biasing member.
8 . The assembly according to claim 7 , wherein said spring biasing member urges said plunger upwardly through said upper wall and into one of said slots when said base is rotated to align said plunger with one of said discrete lipstick spaces, said plunger being configured to urge the tube of lipstick upwardly in said discrete lipstick spaces, said top edge engaging a bounding surface of said slot when said base is rotated to move said plunger away from said discrete lipstick space such that said plunger is urged downwardly out of said discrete lipstick space.
9 . The assembly according to claim 2 , further comprising a lid being hingedly coupled to said top wall, said lid being positionable in a closed position and an open position, said lid engaging said peripheral wall when said lid is positioned in said closed position to retain said lid in said closed position.
10 . A lipstick storage assembly configured to store a plurality of tubes of lipsticks, said assembly comprising:
a housing having a top wall, a bottom wall and a peripheral wall extending therebetween, said top wall having an opening extending downwardly therein toward said bottom wall, said opening extending between said peripheral wall and a center of said top wall, said opening having a circular shape such that said opening extends around an entire circumference of said center, said housing having a cylindrical shape; a base having an upper wall, a lower wall and an outer wall extending therebetween, said upper wall being rotatably coupled to said bottom wall, said outer wall being aligned with said peripheral wall; said housing having a plurality of discrete lipstick spaces, said discrete lipstick spaces being defined by a divider having a top end, a bottom end and a perimeter wall extending therebetween, said divider being positioned within said opening, said bottom end abutting a top surface of said bottom wall, said top end being aligned with said top wall, said divider having a plurality of undulating curves to define a plurality of lobes extending between said center and said peripheral wall, said lobes being distributed around said center, said lobes defining said plurality of discrete lipstick spaces, each of said discrete lipstick spaces being configured to receive a tube of lipstick, said bottom wall of said housing having a plurality of slots extending therethrough, each of said slots being aligned with one of said discrete lipstick spaces; an extender positioned within said base, said extender being configured to urge a selected one of the tube of lipstick upwardly in said discrete lipstick spaces, said extender being in mechanical communication with said base, said base being rotatable relative to said housing such that said extender engages the selected tube of lipstick, said extender including:
a spring biasing member positioned between said upper wall and said lower wall; and
a plunger having a top edge and a bottom edge, said top edge angling downwardly between a middle of said top edge toward said bottom edge, said plunger having a triangular shape, said bottom edge engaging said spring biasing member, said spring biasing member urging said plunger upwardly through said upper wall and into one of said slots when said base is rotated to align said plunger with one of said discrete lipstick spaces, said plunger being configured to urge the tube of lipstick upwardly in said discrete lipstick spaces, said top edge engaging a bounding surface of said slot when said base is rotated to move said plunger away from said discrete lipstick space such that said plunger is urged downwardly out of said discrete lipstick space; and
a lid being hingedly coupled to said top wall, said lid being positionable in a closed position and an open position, said lid engaging said peripheral wall when said lid is positioned in said closed position to retain said lid in said closed position.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
