Abstract

An article includes a non-tacky cured silicone first layer, an optional foamed material and a tacky cured silicone second layer wherein the first layer is directly bound to the second layer and the article is conformable to a body part. The article removably adheres to a body part. Also described is a method of making the article.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. An article comprising a non-tacky cured silicone first layer and a tacky cured silicone second layer wherein the first layer is directly bound to the second layer and the article is conformable to and removably adheres to a body part.

. The article of claim 1 , wherein the first layer further comprises pigment, dye, luminescent particles, fluorescent particles, or a combination thereof.

. The article of claim 1 , wherein the article is a three dimensional facial mask.

. The article of claim 1 , wherein the first layer has a thickness of 0.2 to 15 millimeters.

. The article of claim 1 , wherein the second layer has a thickness of 0.1 to 20 millimeters.

. An article comprising a non-tacky cured silicone first layer at least partially disposed on and directly bound to a foamed silicone material and a tacky cured silicone second layer at least partially disposed on and directly bound to the foamed silicone material, wherein the article is conformable to and removably adheres to a body part.

. The article of claim 6 wherein the foamed silicone material is a layer disposed between the first layer and the second layer.

. The article of claim 6 wherein the foamed silicone material is disposed between portions of the first and second layers and portions of the first layer are directly bound to portions of the second layer.

. The article of claim 6 , wherein the first layer has a thickness of 0.2 to 15 millimeters.

. The article of claim 6 , wherein the second layer has a thickness of 0.1 to 20 millimeters.

. The article of claim 6 , wherein the foamed silicone material has a thickness of 0.1 to 30 millimeters.

. The article of claim 6 , wherein the first layer further comprises pigment, dye, luminescent particles, fluorescent particles, or a combination thereof.

. A method of making an article comprising:
applying a first uncured silicone to a mold; disposing a foamed silicone material on at least a portion of the first uncured silicone; curing the first uncured silicone to form a cured non-tacky silicone first layer; disposing a second uncured silicone on the foamed silicone material and any exposed area of the first layer; and curing the second uncured silicone to form a tacky cured silicone second layer.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the foamed silicone material forms a layer between cured non-tacky silicone first layer and the tacky cured silicone second layer.

. The method of claim 13 , further comprising trimming the edges of the article to a desired shape.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the first uncured silicone further comprises pigment, dye, luminescent particles, fluorescent particles, or a combination thereof.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the foamed silicone material is formed in a mold prior to disposing on at least a portion of the first uncured silicone.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the cured non-tacky silicone first layer has a thickness of 0.2 to 15 millimeters.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the foamed silicone material has a thickness of 0.1 to 30 millimeters.

. The method of claim 13 , wherein the tacky cured silicone second layer has a thickness of 0.1 to 20 millimeters.
