Apparatus and method for ergonomic support of human system interaction

Abstract

A human interaction support apparatus for supporting a peripheral comprising means for defining a user area into which a user may be received and means for hanging a first peripheral from the means for hanging such that the first peripheral is in front of the user area.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A peripheral support apparatus comprising:
 a base operable to rest on a generally horizontal surface; and   a peripheral hanging means connected to the base, wherein the peripheral hanging means is for hanging a first peripheral in front of a user area defined by the peripheral hanging means and the base to facilitate use of the peripheral by a user in the user area.   
     
     
         2 . A peripheral support apparatus comprising:
 a portable base operable to rest on a surface;   a peripheral support is connected to the base, the peripheral support having a tubular rear portion extending upwardly relative to the base; and   a tubular upper portion is connected to the tubular rear portion and extends above the base to a point spaced apart from the rear portion such that a user may be received in a user area between the point spaced apart from the rear portion and the rear portion and between the base and the upper portion, wherein the tubular upper portion is configured to cooperate with a hanger for hanging a first peripheral from the upper portion, in front of the user area, to facilitate use of the peripheral by a user in the user area.
