Cleaning hair trimmings after cutting a person's hair

Abstract

Methods and products for cleaning hair trimmings after cutting a person's hair. One of the methods includes applying a microfiber swab to one of the person's ears to remove the loose hair trimmings resulting from cutting the person's hair. Another one of the methods includes attaching a microfiber neck strip to the person's neck prior to cutting the person's hair.

1 . A method performed by a barber or hair stylist, the method comprising:
 attaching a microfiber neck strip to a person's neck;   cutting the person's hair, resulting in loose hair trimmings falling onto the microfiber neck strip and being attracted to the microfiber neck strip; and   removing the microfiber neck strip from the person's neck, thereby removing at least some loose hair trimmings resulting from cutting the person's hair from the person's neck.   
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising draping a cloth over the microfiber neck strip after attaching the microfiber neck strip to the person's neck. 
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising disposing of the microfiber neck strip after removing the microfiber neck strip from the person's neck. 
     
     
         4 . A product comprising:
 a box; and   a plurality of bundles, each bundle comprising a plurality of microfiber neck strips.   
     
     
         5 . The product of  claim 4 , further comprising instructions for a barber or a hair stylist to, before cutting a person's hair, attach individual microfiber neck strips to individual customers and, after cutting the a person's hair, to dispose of the individual microfiber neck strips. 
     
     
         6 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising securing a first end of the microfiber neck strip to a second end of the microfiber neck strip after attaching the microfiber neck strip to the person's neck. 
     
     
         7 . The method of  claim 6 , further comprising securing the microfiber neck strip around the person's neck with the first end of the microfiber neck strip and the second end of the microfiber neck strip, the first end of the microfiber neck strip and the second end of the microfiber neck strip comprising at least one of:
 a pair of adhesive strips; or   a pair of mechanical tabs.   
     
     
         8 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the microfiber neck strip comprises polyester or a blend of polyester and polyamide. 
     
     
         9 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the microfiber neck strip comprises electrostatically charged split microfiber. 
     
     
         10 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising separating the microfiber strip from a bundle comprising a plurality of microfiber strips detachably secured to the bundle. 
     
     
         11 . The method of  claim 1 , further comprising disposing of the microfiber neck strip after removing the microfiber neck strip from the person's neck. 
     
     
         12 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein the microfiber neck strip has a length of 17-18 inches (43.18-7.62 cm) and a width of 2-3 inches (5.08-7.62 cm). 
     
     
         13 . A product kit for barbers or hair stylists, the product kit comprising:
 a plurality of microfiber neck strip bundles, each bundle comprising a plurality of microfiber neck strips; and   instructions for a barber or a hair stylist to, before cutting a person's hair, attach a microfiber neck strip of the plurality of microfiber neck strips to the person's neck and, after cutting the person's hair, to remove the microfiber neck strip from the person's neck.   
     
     
         14 . The product kit of  claim 13 , wherein the instructions further comprise draping a cloth over the microfiber neck strip after attaching the microfiber neck strip to the person's neck. 
     
     
         15 . The product kit of  claim 13 , wherein the instructions further comprise securing a first end of the microfiber neck strip to a second end of the microfiber neck strip after attaching the microfiber neck strip to the person's neck. 
     
     
         16 . The product kit of  claim 15 , wherein at least one of the first end of the microfiber neck strip or the second end of the microfiber neck strip comprises at least one of:
 a pair of adhesive strips to assist in securing the microfiber neck strip around the person's neck; or   a pair of mechanical tabs to assist in securing the microfiber neck strip around the person's neck.   
     
     
         17 . The product kit of  claim 13 , wherein the microfiber neck strip comprises polyester or a blend of polyester and polyamide. 
     
     
         18 . The product kit of  claim 13 , wherein the microfiber neck strip comprises electrostatically charged split microfiber. 
     
     
         19 . The product kit of  claim 13 , wherein the microfiber neck strip comprises serrated edges so that the microfiber neck strip can be detachably secured in the bundle comprising the plurality of microfiber neck strips. 
     
     
         20 . The product kit of  claim 13 , wherein the instructions further comprise disposing of the microfiber neck strip after removing the microfiber neck strip from the person's neck.
